Not only do you get a chance to fish in a new, exotic location, but you'll do it out of a paddle kayak, which opens new fishing horizons. Your guide has 3 Hobie kayaks and can take up to 3 people out. You will be paddling surrounded by beautiful scenery until you get to the best spot, and then it's your time to shine.
You will be going after all the local favorites, including Northern Pike, European Perch, and Zander. Capt. Frans is a Zander expert and he'll know exactly what to do to put you on that bite. Trolling, spinning, and casting are the name of the game, depending on what you'd like to catch.
The use of live bait is not allowed in the Netherlands, so you'll mostly be using an array of lures.
Another perk of fishing with Frans is that you don't have to worry about bringing your gear, he will provide quality rods, reels, and all the necessary tackle. Bear in mind that everything you catch, you should release, but you can snap a couple of good photos of your catch beforehand.
On your side, you should buy a fishing license, and pack drinks and food for the trip. It's also recommended to come in boots and warm clothing. If you're coming with children, they should be 10 and older – Capt. Frans will have life jackets for the whole family.

I had a great time! My guide was was extremely patient waiting for me to find my way there and then showing me the best ways to catch the different fish in the river. The kayaks he brought with him were great because they have a peddle system that powers you through the water. He told me the history of the river and was very knowledgeable about the river habitat. Considering that a 13 min ride to the airport was 55 euros and this 4 hour adventure was well under a 100 euros, I thought it was an extremely good deal and definitely worth it.

Thanks a lot to Frans, we got really nice local experience and explanation on ways of fishing in the area around. We saw some nice Dutch channels we always wanted to see from the water level, and kayak experience is perfect for that. Despite the weather changes there was some nice perch and pike action, fishing in NL is great afer all.

had an amazing morning kayak fishing, really great tackle and kayaks. I learned lots of new methods of lure fishing from frans, he is very knowledgeable and a great angler! i will definitely start doing more pike fishing now!
