You will fish aboard Mighty I, a 27' Trim Craft with two 200 HP Yamaha outboard engines. The boat is equipped with a GPS and a Lowrance echo sounder, and contains the necessary safety equipment. There's enough room for 10 guests if there are kids onboard, or 8 guests if there are only adults.
You will launch at the best fishing time, which is daybreak, and travel to Protea Banks in only 20 minutes. Once you get there, the possibilities are endless. Depending on the weather and the season you might trawl for game fish such as Tuna, Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Kingfish, and Sailfish, or do bottom fishing for Slinger, Protea Bream, Pink Salmon, Englishman Seabream, Scotsman Seabream, and a variety of Rock Cod.
Mighty Fishing Charters launch from Sonny Evans Small Craft Harbour. The boat is dry-launched into the sea by a special 4 wheel drive tractor. You'll board the craft before launch, meaning you'll stay dry. The crew will provide you with fishing equipment and clean your catch after the trip.

Rainy weather, mildly rough seas, 3 people chumming water, and yet a great professional team. Team was patient with inexperienced fishermen, very knowledgeable about fishing techniques and different fish species ensuring that atleast every fisherman catches a fish. Helped with cleaning and preping the fish we caught. They highly appreciated tips (which is optional). The vessel was spacious powerd by 2 150hp outboard motors alowing the captian to maneuver the boat with the grace of an eagle. And the first mate stealing the show with his fun and energetic demeanor and reliability. Seperate portable bathroom facilities for women. Thank you for an amazing experience. See you next year.

What a day!!! Captain Dawie and his crew went out of their way to make this a trip to remember. We caught ALOT of fish on Protea Bank... Yellow Fin Tuna, Yellowtails, Protea Breams and Snappers. I highly recommend Mighty Fishing Charters and will definitely join them again in future :)

I bought my first boat brand new in 1981 and fished ever since, it is in my blood up to today. I am the skipper of my own boat. I did fish as a charter operator for the last 19 years at S/B due to the fact that most Charters want to catch Game and bottom fish and I do both. I want everyone to be happy and catch fish, as well as make memories to be retold over and over again.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
