Your guide has well over 3 decades of experience fishing the local waters and he's happy to put them to good use when taking his customers out. Boston Harbor and surrounding waters are the playground of massive Striper, as well as aggressive Bluefish, so if you're looking for intense battles, you've come to the right place.
Choose between half day and full day trips on offer and Capt. Van will take care of everything else. The excursion will start with fishing for live bait, and that's an introduction to what comes next. The good news is that the time you spend live bait fishing won't be deducted from the trip, so you'll still have 4 or 6 hours to go after your prey.
You'll do all this from the captain's 30' Robalo boat with powerful twin 300 HP Yamaha engines. The vessel is fast and seaworthy, with plenty of room for up to 4 people to fish at the same time. All onboard navigational electronics are state of the art. There are 2 live bait wells, a cleaning/filleting table, as well as outriggers. The boat has a heated/air-conditioned cabin with a private toilet, dining table, and plenty of seating room. This beauty is as comfortable as they get. Capt. Van has top-of-the-line Penn and Shimano gear that you can use, so you don't have to lug your own. If you'd like, you can get your catch cleaned and filleted after the trip.
Capt. Van loves having kids on board, so your whole family is welcome to join you on your fishing adventure. Stock up on drinks and food, everything else is included.

We had a great morning with Capt Van. The boat is clean and very comfortable with great equipment. Van was the perfect instructor for our 8 year old grandson. We hit the jackpot with mackerel. We filled the live well in less than 5 minutes. The striped bass weren't vey hungry, but we did manage to land a nice 32" catch and release fish. Good times, would definitely go again!
Peter, It was great having you and your "boys" on Karavi. It was a fun day and I'm sure the young man had fun and learned a lot.

The fishing was slow in the morning but picked up in the afternoon. We had a great time and it felt more like fishing with a friend than a charter. I would absolutely go back.

Excellent day on the water. We caught 2 good sized Strippers when the captain put us in the middle of a bait feeding season! His boat is clean, fast and comfortable! Thank you Captain Van!
Captain Van was great. It was a slow day but he worked hard, moved around, and didn't end our trip until we caught fish. He was great. I highly recommend and will book again in the future. Thank you Captain!
