Are you an inshore fanatic wanting to explore the hidden hotspots of Quepos? Or are you looking to test your skills to the fullest, batting fish in the deep? Whatever the case may be Gran Gallo Sportfishing will take you, your family, or your group of friends on a fishing trip you won't forget!

You'll be fishing from a 31' Bertram motor yacht, powered by dual 300 HP Caterpillars. It can accommodate 6 anglers on board, all of who are able to fish comfortably at the same time. The boat has been restored as recently as 2015 and is outfitted with top of the line onboard electronics and safety equipment. The vessel also features a private toilet, fighting chair, and a live bait tank, providing you with everything you'll need for a fun and productive trip.

The captain will provide all guests with top-notch Penn and Shimano gear, various artificial lures, and live bait so that you have the best chance of hooking your target when an opportunity presents itself. Live bait will be bought beforehand or caught at the beginning of the trip, depending on the season and availability. Either way, it's included in the price.

Kids all ages are welcome, however, the captain is only able to provide life jackets for kids ages 10 and up. Small kids have to be under parental supervision and parents must bring appropriate life jackets. On inshore trips, you can also choose to spend a portion of your time snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters. If this is something you'd like to do, please let the captain know ahead of the trip.

Water, fruit, and ice will be available on board, however, you're welcome to pack any additional food and drinks you'd like. Also, before you start your trip, you'll need to get a valid fishing license which costs $15.

Now, check the captain's calendar, find an opening that works for you, and book your next adventure today!

Great boat and crew
Full Day Trip – Offshore on August 5, 20254 adults

We didn't catch much (neither did the other boats), but the captain and his deck mate were awesome in helping us. We got a great 2 course tuna dinner prepared at our resort out of the trip!

Merlín has been fishing all his life, first commercially, then switched to sportfishing. He has been a licensed captain since 2014. A native of Quepos, he fluently speaks English and Spanish. He loves everything about his job, it allows him to do what he loves for a living and he's grateful for that. He participates in various tournaments including the 'World Offshore', and Pelagic inshore/offshore ones. He has a second captain, Robbie Segura, who will also run trips for him occasionally. Robbie has 35 years of fishing experience and also speaks English and Spanish. The first mates also speak both languages.
