Join Flyer Sportfishing on an adrenaline-pumping adventure off the island of Oʻahu. Captain Jared Dow or Captain Alex Uhlmann will take you fishing in some of the remotest waters off the North Shore to put you on big game fish. They accommodate all skill levels and invite you and your family on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience Hawaii like never before!
You’ll be fishing off of a 31’ Eastern downeast, equipped with all the technology and amenities to ensure a successful day on the water. She’s powered by a 380 HP Cummins engine and comes with state-of-the-art navigational electronics to put you on fish with ease. She’s also outfitted with downriggers, outriggers, a fighting chair, and a livewell. You and 4 other guests will be able to fish comfortably at the same time and children above the ages of 5 are welcome aboard.
You can expect to target the biggest and “baddest” fish during your journey. Half-day trips will take you up to 15 miles from the coast, while full-day trips will see you fishing 30 miles offshore. No matter what you choose, your captain guarantees a great time!
Your main target species will include Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Marlin, Spearfish, Wahoo, and Skipjack. You’ll be provided with top-quality Shimano rods and reels, so you can fish like a pro. You’ll also be supplied with high-performance lures, and live bait will be caught on the trip.
You can keep up to 20lb of fish on half-day trips and 40lb on full-day trips, just bear in mind all caught specimens that are over 100lb are kept by the crew in their entirety. Fish cleaning and filleting services are included as well, so you can take home a delicious meal for the family.
Your fishing license is covered, so just come straight to the Haleʻiwa Boat Harbor, grab some sunscreen, and bring snacks and drinks for the ride. Please note GE tax(4,75%) and Harbor tax(3%) are not included in the price.

Captain was very safety conscious and kept an eye on us to avoid problems, since my husband and I are first timers at deep sea fishing. Captain was fun and entertaining. My husband and I had an awesome time and a successful day in catching 3 great favorites in one trip which were Blue Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, and 4 large Maji-Maji. Boat was comfortable and entirely adequate for a long day at sea.

The crew was top-notch, knowledgeable, and made sure we were having a blast. They handled everything so we could focus on the thrill of the catch. Half Day Trip on October 7, 2025 • 3 adultsI booked a trip for me, my daughter, and her father-in-law in early October with Flyer Sportfishing out of Haleiwa on O’ahu, HI. Captain Alex and Miguel were very friendly and informative. We originally booked a half-day trip but ended up going for a full day and it was great! We finished with 4 Skipjack tuna and 7 mahi-mahi in the boat. Highly recommend. Very good experience!

Half Day Trip on July 21, 2026 • 2 adultsMy buddy and I took out our sons and we each landed quaikity fish. The Captain and Deck hand were great. Although i would have liked to have kept more fish than just 10lbs of cut fish. I was under the impression that we would leave with 20lbs of cut fish if there was that much brought in. We certainly landed more than 40lbs of processed fish.

Full Day Trip on December 2, 2024 • 2 adultsI'm from Florida where I deep sea fish A LOT, that being said, this charter was one of the best. I nailed a Blue Marlin (7.6 ft) and a chunky SkipJack and a bunch of mackerel baitfish. My fiance who isn't into fishing got to take a long cat nap on their surprisingly comfy bench area with pillows. The crew made the experience! Captain Alex was incredibly knowledgeable and put us on fish while the other chartera within 100 yards were completely struggling. He had the Marlin hooked with such finesse that it was simply a pleasure to actually watch. Thanks guys for a unforgettable experience!

Full Day Trip on November 18, 2024 • 1 adultWhat a fun trip this was.Captain Alex and 1st mate ‘J’ put me on the fish. We started the day out, catching mackerel to use as bait. Within the first hour, we had our first mahi in the boat. As the day went on, we landed several more mahi, two skipjack tuna, and a 120 pound blue marlin The captain and mate were very professional at their jobs and had five poles in the water at all times. Captain Alex is experienced at what he does and it showed. All the gear on the boat was in top shape and the design of Jared‘s boat cut through the huge swells like they were not even there. Had an amazing day on the water and would recommend anyone to book this charter. Thanks to Jared and his team for putting together an amazing day on the Pacific Ocean. If you book this charter, you will not be let down, fact!

My buddy and I took out our sons and we each landed quaikity fish. The Captain and Deck hand were great. Although i would have liked to have kept more fish than just 10lbs of cut fish. I was under the impression that we would leave with 20lbs of cut fish if there was that much brought in. We certainly landed more than 40lbs of processed fish.
Glad you had a great trip with a nice catch! Next time, just ask for more at the whole sale rate. we would have been happy to cut as much as you like.
