Make your Hawaii adventure complete and go fishing with To The Max Charters on the Beautiful North Shore. Team up with Captain Kevin Chadick and/or Captain Adam Lynam who have spent the last 2 decades exploring the local waters and know where to go to put you on the fish any time of year.
One of the advantages to fishing in Hawaii is that you can find trophy game fish just a few miles from land, which means you don't have to travel too far to catch something brag-worthy. To the max offers half day and full day trips that will get you to the most productive fishing grounds in the area.
On half day excursions we'll spend 5 hours targeting our pelagic fish relatively close to home. If you'd like to spend the whole day on the water, and drastically up your chances, then full day expeditions are highly recommended. You'll get 8- 9 hours with our skilled crew and give yourself the best shot to hook a massive Blue Marlin, migrational Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and wahoo(ono).
Your fishing platform and ride for the day is a 30' Bertram sport fisher with twin 200 HP Volvo Diesel engines, freshly restored in 2019. While there's room on board for up to 6 people, 4 or less is recommended for maximum comfort. The boat sports a flybridge, a live bait well, and navigational electronics to zero in on the fish of a lifetime.
With a private toilet and plenty of seating room, the vessel is comfortable and stable on the waves. You'll be using top notch fishing tackle, and the knowledgeable crew wants to catch fish more than you do!
Bear in mind that when it comes to splitting the catch, you can keep up to 25 pounds of whole fish on half day trips, and up to 50 pounds of whole fish on full day charters. The crew is happy to fillet and bag your catch for you at the end of the day. Any fish over 50 lbs will stay with the boat and be sold at market. You should come aboard with a light jacket, sunscreen , your favorite drinks, snacks, and lunch. Most importantly be stoked! Lets go get em!

We booked the half day trip. My daughter and son came out. We hooked into a variety of fish; Yellow Fin Tuna, Wahoo, Skip Jack Tuna, and missed a Mahi Mahi. We saw a giant pod of Spinner Dolphin on the way out, very cool. Great Captaining and amazing job by first mate, Max. Highly recommend trip.
I recommend you go with them. They know how to catch fish and they know where the fish are at and they’re great guys to talk to and have a full fun day with.

Just as we left the harbor a whale breeched not far from the boat. An impressive start to our trip. The crew, Captain Adam and his deckhand Max, were awesome. They prepped us and got us set up for a great trip. Early in our trip we came upon a large pod of dolphins. We caught a beautiful tuna that Captain Adam prepped for us to take home for dinner. We had to have seen at least twenty humpback whales. It was incredibly beautiful. Both of my kids are still exciting and talking about our trip.

Thanks for fishing with us today and thanks for posting your photo and video! Enjoy that delicious yellowfin for dinner! - captain Adam
