Saying he's 'experienced' would be an understatement, as his knowledge goes far beyond. He comes from a family of fishermen, so you could say he has this in his blood.
You'll be fishing aboard Ramon's 32' Luhrs boat. This spacious vessel is powered by twin 300 HP Yanmar engines and can reach a maximum cruising speed of 20 knots. There's enough room for 6 guests to fish at the same time, so bring your fishing buddies or family along. The boat features a flybridge, private toilet, kitchen, and a cabin with an AC.
You'll head out up to 25 miles offshore to reach the spots where you can target Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo, or Roosterfish. Not only you'll go fish that's a challenge to catch, but you'll also get a tasty meal, as the first mate Maria will gladly cook the fish for you.
Your fishing equipment is fully covered, live bait prepared in advance, and water cooled in the ice box. You can bring other drinks or anything else you might need. If you prefer, you can keep the catch for later and have it prepared in a restaurant.

Fishing was decent. The captain tried his best to put us on fish. We trolled on the way to Gordo Banks and caught a Mahi Mahi. We tried for a bit to catch tuna but it was too hot sitting in the sun. We trolled some more to try for more Mahi Mahi or wahoo. We hooked into a marlin but it got off by the boat. We also caught a silky shark. All in all, it was a good trip. The captain and mate were very friendly, informative, and helpful.
We had a great time on La Sancha with Captain Ramon and his deck hand. We went out on a 7 hour trip and even though we only caught a few fish, one of them was a 250 pound Blue Marlin, that made the whole trip worth it! It was so much meat, we left it with the Captain to split with his deckhand and his family. The boat was also very comfortable and roomy so we enjoyed just crusing around and trolling for big catch!
These guys are awesome! my son got a striped marlin! And my wife got a big wahoo! i fought a shark almost to the boat and he popped the line! couldn't be prouder or happier of my family's efforts today! Anyone can fish with these guys and be successful! make sure you bring plenty of sunscreen!

Weather was beautiful, cool breeze and right temp. We would be just as contented if we just had a boat ride and no fish BUT we did catch 3 fish! Mahi Mahi, wahoo, & a shark!! The last one was a surprise as we were angling for a tuna. Baby shark was let go after a huge struggle to reel it in. Great time!
Very good charter today. I have fished out of the San Jose marina many times and I think this was the best experience I've had. Ramon and his brother worked very hard and we caught both big tuna and Mahi Mahi. When they say the price includes everything, this is correct. You would normally spend over $100 for licenses, bait, lunch and processing. This was all included. Plan on booking them again next year.
