Capt. Richard will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Marlin, and Wahoo, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, big game fishing, drift fishing, and jigging.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 33’ phoenix boat that can safely take up to 8 anglers. This boat comes with a toilet, an ice box, and a fighting chair.
All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license for anyone on the boat over the age of 13,{reguardless if they fish or not its the law} ahead of time. The crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip.

Best Fishing Day Ever!
3/4 day trip on May 2, 2025
We had an amazing fishing trip out of San José del Cabo—one of the most memorable days I’ve ever had fishing. I went with my son, his wife, and my granddaughter, and we all had a fantastic time. Our captain and crewmate were excellent—skilled, easygoing, and clearly knew the best spots. They took us all along the coast in a nice boat (with a bathroom 😀), and we caught a great variety of fish, from smaller ones to the big thrillers—like a beautiful Dorado and even a Marlin! Their knowledge of the waters and their dedication to giving us a memorable day really stood out. The weather was perfect, the coastline was stunning, and we made some really special memories together.

What a fun day fishing with Jesus and Alfredo!
Half Day Trip – San Jose on April 3, 2025
Our fishing trip on the 'why knot' boat was a resounding success, thanks to Captain Jesus's exceptional kindness and mate Alfredo's warm hospitality. Although the elusive marlin fish remained at large, we were treated to an impressive catch of Spanish mackerel, which made for a delectable dinner. With another adventure on the horizon, we're eager to see what tomorrow brings with the same crew. Rusty Hookers charter boat comes highly recommended for an unforgettable experience.

3/4 day trip on March 20, 2025
We wanted to try for marlin and Jesus was more than happy to please us and understand English well Alfredo and Andres did a wonderful job we hooked up by 920 and fight was on we took turns and lost tract of time it was about 120 pounds then went inshore for catching dinner caught plenty of yellowtail.snaper.and grouper then went back offshore to troll for marlin again but didn't hook up trying a panga for rooster fish next definitely speak highly of these guys and beautiful boat

Family memories of a lifetime were made. Our family of four set out on a 3/4 day tour on a beautiful day to be on the water. They asked us what type of fish we wanted to catch, my son said “big ones”, and they delivered. Besides landing two nice Marlins, we saw a whale and some dolphins.

2nd trip this week!
All included full day trip on August 20, 2024
Today was 2nd day this week fishing on the Y Knot, Jesus and Sergio did a great job and make u feel very welcome. We didn’t catch a lot fish this but thats fishing sometimes, and I know this as I fish a lot. LOL. We did ask to try to catch a rooster fish and Capt Jesus did that for us and we got a rooster and lost another before going trolling for Marlin. We had 1 marlin in the spread and a sailfish that we missed late in the day. Always a great day when you’re on the water!! Thanks Jesus and Sergio

After having some bad experiences on different charters in Baja, The owner Richard bought his boat in 2019, wanting to start something that people could enjoy. He went out and hired the best captains Lizandro and Jesus and deckhand that both could speak English. With their father and most of the family members being fishermen, they grew up in the local town and have been fishing since little kids. They know how to fish, enjoy what they do, and will work hard for their customers to provide an unforgettable time and help make memories on the water. Almost all of the customers so far have said they felt like they were fishing with family on their trips.
