Capt. Richard will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Marlin, and Wahoo, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, big game fishing, drift fishing, and jigging.

Your fishing adventure starts on a 33’ phoenix boat that can safely take up to 8 anglers. This boat comes with a toilet, an ice box, and a fighting chair.

All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license for anyone on the boat over the age of 13,{reguardless if they fish or not its the law} ahead of time. The crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip.

Best Fishing Day Ever!

We had an amazing fishing trip out of San José del Cabo—one of the most memorable days I've ever had fishing. I went with my son, his wife, and my granddaughter, and we all had a fantastic time. Our captain and crewmate were excellent—skilled, easygoing, and clearly knew the best spots. They took us all along the coast in a nice boat (with a bathroom 😀), and we caught a great variety of fish, from smaller ones to the big thrillers—like a beautiful Dorado and even a Marlin! Their knowledge of the waters and their dedication to giving us a memorable day really stood out. The weather was perfect, the coastline was stunning, and we made some really special memories together.

fishing early jan 2025

3/4 day trip on January 3, 2026 • 8 adults

We staryef with trolling then bottom fishing, caught approximately 12 in total : 2 grouper and 9 snappers, as well as one tuna. Trolling proved less fruitful no marlin, but we did catch one excellent mahi mahi. The captain and mate were very pleasant. The equipment was average, but it performedwell . The boat was quite comfortable for eight people. After the trip, we took the fillets (cleaned by the crew) to a restaurant and had a wonderful meal, with plenty of leftovers to take home.

Half Day Trip – San Jose on February 11, 2026 • 3 adults

Jesus and Gabby were very accommodating. We did catch one small mahi mahi. We hooked up on a much bigger mahi mahi and also a really nice blue marlin but unfortunately they didn't make it to the boat. Too bad, but it was still exciting. The boat was comfortable, equipment worked fine. Would use them again.

We took our kids, 12 and 14 for their first fishing trip and had a great time! The crew was helpful in assisting them and when we weren't catching fish, we were whale watching. It was awesome!

Jesus puts in a lot of work in and his persistence pays off. Y KNOT and crew will put on the bite, pro crew, very respectable, lots of excitement, good pictures and caught lots of fish.
