Split Decision II – Luxurious 38' 

This boat is great for fishing and comfort its not brand new but very well maintained. Bluetooth speakers and the boat has the comforts that keep your party happy on the boat. Indoor area with bed tabel and bathroom. the captain knows where the fish are. Your lady will enjoy herself too mine did! Landed 3 species jack tuna and grouper. 5 total and got me my biggest yellow fin tuna to date.

We fished with Captain Rios in early April and had a fantastic time. Our group of five included a mix of beginners, young adults, and one experienced angler. While we didn’t hook any billfish, tuna, or dorado, we did land five hard-fighting Jack Crevalle, some over 30 lbs, while trolling — an exciting experience for all. The boat is older but clearly well cared for, and the gear was high-quality and well maintained. The first mate was excellent, expertly setting out a wide variety of trolling jigs and helping us land our fish with ease. Breakfast burritos kicked off the day right, and there were plenty of snacks and drinks throughout the trip. To anyone looking for a legit day on the water with a skilled, friendly crew, we highly recommend Split Decision II. We’d definitely book with them again.

With dozens and dozens of boats fishing the sea of Cortez due to rough seas in the pacific, the Captain and the crew had some tough going. We search for dorado, but Not a fish for 3.5 hours, except 1 bite, THEN the crew hooked us up on a 150 lb striped Marlin. We had marlin sashimi on the boat as they filleted. Then we took a big chunk home for some ceviche and marlin steaks to grill. Writing this review before grilling, but I have confidence that Cap’t Marco gave us the right recipe. Thank Cap’t Marco, Juan, and Jose. See you next year for round 3!

We went after Marlin or tuna. Not ideal time for either. Captain put us on Marlin and we landed one and fought with another before it escaped. A great day with friends and a professional crew. I would recommend

Crew and Captain were very friendly and interactive. Equipment was great and plenty of accommodations and room on the boat for the day.

Even though the bite was slow, Captain Marco and his mate Juan worked hard to find fish. Continuously adjusting lines in search of the fish’s appetite. Boated fish and enjoyed whales passing by. We couldn’t ask for a better effort while spending the day dragging baits. Our captain even gave an outstanding restaurant recommendation to cook our fish. We try to fish everywhere we travel and our experience was great. We will be back.

Marco and his mate were on it. With in the first two hours of the day we had a Marlin on. After that we had six other bites we saw Marlin jumping most of the day. They also took time for my brother and I to spread my parents ashes. My next time here I will pick him again.

Marco and Jaun were wonderful on this fishing excursion. We caught many different species of fish and thoroughly enjoyed the all inclusive fishing trip. I would recommend this to people who want great service and a great experience.

Two great days of fishing. The first day we drift fished and had great catches. Snapper, grouper, tuna. The second day we went for Marlin. Within the first hour we hooked two at the same time. It was outstanding
