We showed up and were met by Craig (owner) in the parking lot and he escorted us right to the boat. We headed out to sea and because it was calmer than usual Captain JP took us to a spot he thought would be a good to catch some wahoo and he was right. He was awesome in informing us of what to expect and where we were going. He and Michelle kept a lovely conversation with us and answered all our questions very well. They were very informative. When we got to the spot JP hooked up the lines and right off the bat we caught the black fin tuna. It was a blast and JP helped by telling me what to do. We then put the lines in again and not long after one line caught and JP gave the pole to my wife and as she was starting to reel in her fish the other pole caught so we had two wahoos on line at the same time. My wife and I had a blast the whole time. As we headed back we had just a little extra time and he gave us a brief tour of the Sxm side of the island. Jp and craig helped fillet the fish and sent us with plenty to eat and I must say that’s the best fish I’ve had in a long time.
If you want a an awesome experience with some down to earth crew who wants to make you happy then book with these guys. It was a great experience.

If / when I come back I and definitely booking another trip. It was a bit windy the day we went, but the guys made sure we had a great day of fishing. Took two kids (small group of 4) and the guys were great with them.  The kids had a blast and caught a ton of fish.  We cooked up a bunch the next day (after a quick trip to the market right near the office). If you go, get the Badia / complete seasoning (with the green cap). Ricky was right, it’s great (with a bit of butter/ garlic / peppers /onion etc.)

Captain Craig and first mate Randy were excellent hosts and the day at sea would have only been perfect except that the fish didn’t cooperate. Craig and Randy used every skill they had to try and find the fish. We hooked a nice size barracuda which we returned to the sea. We had two other fish on, but they out smarted us and are at sea waiting for someone else’s hook. I truly appreciate the opportunity we had and highly recommend the two for future trips.

On the island for two weeks we wanted plenty of good fish to eat. Choosing between trawling sprawling sagassum or drifting the bottom our captain made the right suggestion.  With well placed suggestions and constant baiting and unhooking we wore ourselves out reeling in a cooler load of good size fish. A very good day on the water.

What a great day with Coconut Reef. Not only did they get us on fish - We set the record for most Barracuda caught in a day!  These guys know what they’re doing. Very knowledgeable, very patient. Thank you for an amazing experience. From your Canadian Friends
