The boat you'll use is a restored 25' Nabridas center console that can fit up to 4 guests. It runs on twin 60 HP Suzuki four stroke engines and has got GPS, fishfinder, and radio technology for safe and efficient navigation. The boat is equipped with a fighting chair, outriggers, downriggers, as well as snorkeling gear. There's a multimedia system you can use to enjoy your trip even more and an ice-box to store your fish or drinks. For any help you need, there will be a first mate on board.
The species you'll be targetting include Spangled Emperor, Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, Wahoo, Rockfish, and many more great species. You can attract them in many different ways and you'll be keeping your catch. Some of the techniques you can utilize are deep sea fishing, trolling, jigging, as well as handline fishing. Kids are welcome to join any trip.
Your captain will provide the fishing gear, live bait, lures, and drinks. He also covers you for the fishing licenses. You should only bring some drinks before you start the trip.

Quelle magnifique sortie en mer avec Richie, un vrai pêcheur professionnel et surtout quelqu’un de passionné. Dès le départ, on sent qu’il connaît parfaitement son métier : il prend le temps d’expliquer comment tout fonctionne, les différentes techniques utilisées, le matériel, les zones de pêche, et il partage son expérience avec beaucoup de gentillesse.
Nous avons eu la chance d’utiliser plusieurs méthodes de pêche au cours de la sortie, ce qui a rendu l’expérience encore plus intéressante. À un moment, nous avons touché un très gros poisson, malheureusement la ligne a cassé… un moment aussi frustrant qu’excitant, qui montre bien que de très belles prises sont dans le secteur !
Et la persévérance de Richie a payé, puisque peu de temps après nous avons réussi à sortir un magnifique thon jaune d’environ 15 kg. Un superbe combat et un souvenir incroyable.
Comme si cela ne suffisait pas, nous avons également eu la chance de croiser des dauphins. Richie a gentiment arrêté le bateau quelques minutes pour nous permettre de les admirer de plus près, un moment magique.
Ce que j’ai particulièrement apprécié, c’est qu’on sent vraiment que Richie est là avant tout pour chercher le poisson et offrir une vraie expérience de pêche, avec passion et envie de bien faire. Il ne se contente pas simplement de faire une balade en mer : il veut sincèrement que ses clients vivent une vraie aventure et repartent avec de beaux souvenirs.
Je recommande les yeux fermés à tous ceux qui veulent une vraie sortie pêche authentique à l’Île Maurice.

what an intro to deep sea fishing!!!

This was our first time going deep sea fishing…. we had a great time with Rishi! It was a masterclass on the various techniques used in deep sea fishing and the never give up attitude and constantly trying different techniques and explaining them to us. We were trying even on the way back till we were getting close to the breaker / reefs. we landed 4 yellow fin Tuna and had a hit on one of the outrigger lines by a marlin - but unfortunately didnt hook! What an intro to deep sea fishing - Rishi's love doe his craft and knowledge shines through and he's got us hooked!

Best sea fishing experience!
6 Hour Trip – Big Game Fishing on March 24, 2026 • 2 adults
Best big game fishing I had. Started at 4:30am, went to the fishing spot and started jigging for tuna. Hard work paid of in few hours and a big tuna got the lure! After 15 min of fighting I took it out to the surface of the water and Rishi did all the rest. 25 kg! Best experience ever! Later we tried trolling for marlin and reef fishing. Cathed few small tunas, captain fishes and other fish to take home for the dinner and Rishi cleaned the fish for us. Crew is top, best fisherman duo! Very profesional, explain everything, communicate, provide all needed help. Rishi is 100% best choice for any type of fishing you want to try!

We had a fantastic 6-hour morning tour with Captain Richi and his crew. The guys are super friendly, very professional, and patiently explained the different techniques.
We started with jigging for tuna and I hooked a massive Yellowfin Tuna (estimated 60kg by Richi!). We had him right by the boat, but unfortunately, he got away at the very last second. After that, we went trawling for marlin. Even though we didn't end up catching anything, the adrenaline was absolutely worth it – I still had sore muscles days later!
I'll definitely try my luck again with Rishi later this week. If you're looking for a cool, skilled crew in Mauritius, this is the place to go!

I booked a deep-sea fishing trip with Rishi Excursions in Mauritius, and it was nothing short of outstanding.
Skipper Rishi put us onto big tuna within 15 minutes of arriving in the fishing area — an impressive display of local knowledge and instinct that immediately sets him apart. The equipment was top quality, modern, and immaculately maintained, clearly chosen by someone who takes their craft seriously.
The popping and jigging lures used were absolutely spot on and worked beautifully. While we didn't get a marlin to take the trolling baits on this trip, the size and power of the tuna more than made up for it and made the experience unforgettable.
What really stood out was Rishi himself — highly professional, friendly, and genuinely passionate about fishing. He was more than happy to help, explain techniques, and share the little 'secrets' that made the difference and produced results.
