Gulf Shore Local, Captain Shawn is the real deal! He loves what he does and it shows.
Captain Shawn has a 100 Ton Captain's license. Prior to becoming a charter boat captain, he commercial fished, in the waters you'll be fishing. With many friends still in the commercial industry, he always knows where to find the fish!
He takes care in accommodating his guests, especially our veterans, elderly and children. He listens to what his anglers want.
You'll love meeting at Safe Harbor Seafood, a real operational fish house! Where the nearby waters are rich with multiple species of fish, so you don't have to go far, to get your lines in the water and start reeling them in!

Trip was my wife and I's first saltwater charter and we had a good time.
2 Hour Inshore - 6:30 AM on April 8, 2026 • 2 adults
My wife caught 3 redfish with the biggest weighing 6 pounds 6 ounces and I caught 1 that we didn't weigh, but it was about 16 inches long. My wife caught 4 speckled trout with the biggest measuring about 16 inches long and I caught 3 with the biggest measuring about 14 inches long. We had plenty filets to eat, but probably would have caught more, if the water temperature wasn't 58 degrees. Captain Shawn did a great job teaching us a new technique for catching both species and he even fileted the fish for us.

Excellent Fishing Charter!

We had an amazing time out fishing! Even though the mid day bite was slow Captain Shawn still put us on some fish, with his knowledge and experience of the area we were able to catch multiple species and even still brought home a few to enjoy! We would highly recommend this Charter to anyone visiting the area!

A great trip with an experienced guide

We had a great time on our charter with Captain Shawn from Bama Bandit Sport Fishing. We opted for the inshore charter with our 13 and 9 year old joining us, so Captain Shawn took us to his spots along the channel. We had a lot of bites and were able to bring in enough fish to cook up a meal for four that night. Shawn was great with the boys, showing them how to cast and giving them feedback during and following a catch (or “one that got away”) so they could learn something and move forward with some better techniques. We also managed to catch a few catfish for good measure. All in all, we had a great family outing and Shawn was a good fit for us as our captain.

We had a blast!! We were catching them left and right! We even caught a baby shark that we of course released! Our guide was knowledgeable and a good guy.. he really placed an emphasis on cleanliness and organization, which I could highly understand. He had a great boat and some great gear and all we did was catch fish! He took pictures, shared stories, and even took the time to actually teach our youngest member proper techniques and I really had a ton of respect for him for that! Would definitely do it again, especially in another season of the year where we could potentially catch a few other species! Great experience.
