His 24' Blazer Bay center console can comfortably accommodate a party of 6, where 4 can fish at the same time. It's equipped with all the necessary safety and navigation gear so you can focus on the fishing itself and leave nothing to chance.
Capt. Ben fishes using a variety of techniques like trolling, popping, and spinning, making his choice depending on the fish you are after. The light and medium tackle the Captain provides is all brand new, top of the line Penn gear. Live bait is usually prepared for you before the trip.
On his 6-hour trips, he can go up to 8 miles, weather permitting, but often fishes inshore and nearshore. No matter how far out you go, this type of trip gives you the biggest chance to target a variety of fish like Flounder, Bull Shark, Kingfish, and more. But if Speckled Trout, Redfish, Bluefish, Sheepshead, and Mangrove Snapper are what you want on your hook, then his 4-hour trip is the right choice for you.
Fishing licenses for all anglers are provided. Any fish you decide to keep at the end of your trip, the crew will happily clean for you. Tips in the 15-20% range are always appreciated.
The captain recommends you wear closed-toed shoes and bring any food and beverages you want. The cooler on board will keep them nice and fresh during your trip.

Had an awesome trip with Ben as our captain today! We went inshore fishing and ended up catching some Mangrove Snapper that made for a great dinner. Ben had everything covered — the boat was well equipped, rods and reels were provided, and he had all the bait ready to go. He was a great guide, worked hard to put us on fish, and made the whole experience enjoyable. We had a pretty wild start to the morning with a strong storm rolling through, but Ben kept us safe and we were able to get under the bridge and still have a productive beginning to the trip. We caught three early, including a nice-sized fish, and then toward the end we moved to a new spot he hadn’t really fished before and absolutely got on them. Overall, it was a great day on the water. Ben is knowledgeable, puts in the effort, and genuinely wants his customers to have a great experience. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a great inshore fishing trip!
WHAT AN AMAZING DAY! Ben was extremely kind, down to earth, very quick, and efficient. He took us to different places to find the fish. He was great at explaining how to use the equipment and how to set the hook. He was great at navigating his boat. He made sure to remind us to stay hydrated and made sure we felt comfortable on the ride out. We were able to catch big fish and had the best time. Thank you Ben!! We will 100% be back again.

Capt. Ben was absolutely great. very easy to talk with and communication was no different. he mentioned changing to snapper 2 days before the trip and it was well worth it. Capt. Ben had us on fish instantly and 2 of them being tagged fish, 30 minutes apart. had some slow spots but he was great with changes and communication on the water. ended with a limit of snapper and 2 tagged fish worth $500 bucks. overall, great trip, would recommend him to anyone and i’d come back anytime, especially to cobia fish when they are running. thanks again Capt.
Super friendly, knowledgeable and personable. He made the trip very enjoyable for our entire party. He even attached a fake engagement ring to a line for my daughter to reel in and her now finance to propose. It was a special day for all of us and he made perfect. Will definitely book again.
Everything was spectacular!! Experienced Captain gave us exactly what we were looking for (Strikes all day long, exciting!!). Ben made us feel totally at ease on his boat. Will definitely will book this trip and others again in the future with Great Southern Fishing Charters. Well done Ben. 5 Stars

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
