His 24’ Blazer Bay center console can comfortably accommodate a party of 6, where 4 can fish at the same time. It’s equipped with all the necessary safety and navigation gear so you can focus on the fishing itself and leave nothing to chance.
Capt. Ben fishes using a variety of techniques like trolling, popping, and spinning, making his choice depending on the fish you are after. The light and medium tackle the Captain provides is all brand new, top of the line Penn gear. Live bait is usually prepared for you before the trip.
On his 6-hour trips, he can go up to 8 miles, weather permitting, but often fishes inshore and nearshore. No matter how far out you go, this type of trip gives you the biggest chance to target a variety of fish like Flounder, Bull Shark, Kingfish, and more. But if Speckled Trout, Redfish, Bluefish, Sheepshead, and Mangrove Snapper are what you want on your hook, then his 4-hour trip is the right choice for you.
Fishing licenses for all anglers are provided. Any fish you decide to keep at the end of your trip, the crew will happily clean for you. Tips in the 15-20% range are always appreciated.
The captain recommends you wear closed-toed shoes and bring any food and beverages you want. The cooler on board will keep them nice and fresh during your trip.

4hr Snapper Trip

Capt. Ben was absolutely great. very easy to talk with and communication was no different. he mentioned changing to snapper 2 days before the trip and it was well worth it. Capt. Ben had us on fish instantly and 2 of them being tagged fish, 30 minutes apart. had some slow spots but he was great with changes and communication on the water. ended with a limit of snapper and 2 tagged fish worth $500 bucks. overall, great trip, would recommend him to anyone and i’d come back anytime, especially to cobia fish when they are running. thanks again Capt.

Persistent on a poor weather day

Our trip was booked well in advance and there was no way to know what the weather would be like on the day of our charter. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great and the water was choppy which limited the places we could go, but Ben was persistent. He took us to as many places as he could to help us catch us fish. In the last hour, we finally caught one worth keeping. Ben was great! He was friendly, knowledgeable, patient and was prepared as soon as we arrived. We will book again the next time we are vacationing in the area!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

What a trip. Benjamin made this amazing, and memorable. His warmth, patience, hospitality right off the back made us feel comfortable and safe. We had a bit of bad weather to start, but he took us to shelter, where we could still fish. As soon as the weather cleared, he took us to about 7 different spots until we got to where the fish were biting.
So patient the whole time, but also highly educational and entertaining. We were out for almost 5 hours. We especially loved his sense of team-spirit, pulling out all the stops to make sure everyone in the group had the best shot of getting the full experience.
We ended up with 7 fish for 4 of us. Not only was the experience brilliant, he had the best recommendation for hook n cool - where to go and how to have them cooked. This was the highlight of our vacation to Gulf Shores.
I cannot overstate how brilliant our Captain Benjamin Knight was.

Great trip, exceeded our expectations!

The weather was cold and rainy but, captain Ben got us on some fish! Being more experienced anglers, he worked tirelessly to keep us baited and our lines in the water. He was also very patient when we got snagged or got our lines crossed. He showed a high level of knowledge of the waters around Orange Beach and got us to the fish right from the beginning. We were into the fish on our first cast. We caught a variety of species and had a great time! Our family enjoyed meeting and Ben and would definitely fish with him again the next time we’re in town.

Ben was friendly, attentive, and wanted us to catch fish. He baited every hook and casted my wife's line for her to get her to the best spot. She caught a 27 inch redfish! Biggest fish of her life! Thanks Ben. We'll be back for a longer trip next time.
