This is our second trip with Great Southern. I have used a number of different charters but from now on I will always look to Great Southern first. Both experiences we have had with them have been amazing. Captain Ben did a great job putting us on fish but most important to me was how he treated our family, including my 10 and 12 year old.  He was patient and even took time to show them unique things about the fish we caught.  At the end of the day these trips for me are about making memories with my family, not just catching fish. Captain Ben helped us make memories that will last a lifetime!

Captain was super nice and explained that no one was catching fish all around and that the storms were going to keep rolling in . He offered to cut the trip short and us just pay for bait and gas cause did t want us to feel like we were getting taken advantage of.  We were more than pleased with this decision cause fish were not biting and waves were terrible from all the storms. . I’ve been on several trips in the past with the same circumstances and no one has ever reduced the price of the trip or even offered . Our captain was great for giving us this option and shows his true character. Will definitely book with Ben again when in the area !

Awesome!!  We had 3 generations on the boat with very little experience.  Ben was our Captain and took us to great spots.  The vibe was relaxed and chill.  Everyone on the boat caught fish and we were able to keep some of the in season fish which made for an excellent dinner!  Highly recommended!

We had a great day with Captain Ben. It was raining in the moring of our trip, so Ben called us to ask if we still wanted to go. My wife and I only had that day available and we really wanted to fish. Fortunately we brought rain gear and clothing to keep us warm. Ben was very upfront and honest about the weather and chances of catching fish, and was willing to go out as long as we wanted to. Ben is very skilled with the boat and continually kept us close to a bridge structure. We caught 3 Sheepshead and a drum and had several other bites. We kept 2 fish. Ben cleaned them and recommended we take them to Flora-Bama yacht club who would cook them for us. This was the best recommendation! What a treat to enjoy our fresh catch. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversation with Ben and benefited from his expertise in fishing and boating. We highly recommend Great Southern Charters to anyone looking for an honest and enjoyable fishing experience.

Had such an awesome time with Ben. My son and I were along for our first saltwater charter. Ben is awesome and very knowledgeable of the area. He continually put us on the fish and worked the entire time. We had a blast. Will definitely be booking again in the future. Ben, Dalton Justin and I had the best time.  Thanks for the memorable time.
