Southern Sun Fishing Charters is a professional fishing guide service specializing in giving customers an outstanding and memorable time catching fish. Join Captain Charlie on the gorgeous inshore and nearshore waters of Orange Beach searching for species such as Redfish, Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, and many others.
When you book a charter with Southern Sun Fishing Charters everything is provided, including bait, tackle, rods, licenses, and cleaning the fish. The only thing you need to worry about once you book a charter is having an awesome time.
You will go out aboard a 24' Triton center console. This is a clean and spacious boat with plenty of space for up to 5 anglers. The vessel comes powered by a single 250 HP Suzuki engine and is outfitted with the latest navigational and fish-finding electronics, as well as other professional accessories.
The trips are short and sweet. In just 4 hours, you'll have the opportunity to learn lots of new fishing tricks and fill your bucket with tasty fish. You only need to choose whether you prefer a morning or an afternoon bite. The trips are adjusted in order to fit every angler's needs - from beginner to a seasonal pro.

Southern Sun's site perked our interest, and we were not disappointed. Captain Charlie is awesome, and he is very knowledgeable about where the best fishing spots are in the Orange Beach area. Captain Charlie's fishing excursions are very personable and instructional on how to best fish the Gulf waters. My wife and I were taken to spots known for Redfish and Speckled/White Trout and given instruction on the best methods of catching the fish. Trout were the fish of the day on our outing. The Redfish were present but not receptive to being caught. My wife and I had an awesome time with Captain Charlie, and we will definitely book with him again the next time we are in the Orange Beach area. Thanks Captain Charlie for an awesome time on the water! You're the best!

He allowed us to use some of our own hand-tied hair jigs to hook into some different species. And he was mindful of our sea-sick prone family members to keep us comfortable during our trip. We will look at booking with Captain Charlie on Southern Sun again next time we visit Orange Beach!

Even my wife who is not an avid fisher said it was one of the best experiences ever. We had such great time and Captain Gill who kept us on the fish! Seriously, if you're on the fence, just book it. We booked a three hour fishing tour with Southern Sun on 5/14/26. Justin, our Captain, was very professional, knowledgeable, patient and fun! We caught over thirty fish.
