Knotty Hooker Charters offers exciting offshore, deep sea, and bottom fishing adventures! Located in the gated community of Puerto Aventuras, you'll have lines in the beautiful Caribbean waters within minutes of leaving the dock! Captain Eduardo and his crew are all licensed, English-speaking tournament pros who know how to catch fish! Most of all, they're here to ensure you have a fantastic fishing adventure and a safe and rewarding experience that the entire family can enjoy.
Your vessel for the day is 'Reel Hooker', a 38' custom Bertram, powered by twin 415 HP Cummins engines that can cruise at 25 knots. She's equipped with GPS, FishFinder, VHF radio, downriggers, outriggers, and dredges. The cockpit is spacious and equipped with a fighting chair for catching the big ones! All 8 guests will be comfortable thanks to a variety of amenities. The air-conditioned salon has couches, a big-screen TV, stereo, microwave, fridge, and full bathroom. Two air-conditioned forward cabins provide the perfect spot to break between catches. Or you can head out onto the fly-bridge to relax and watch out for the bite!
Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Swordfish, and Wahoo are all yours for the taking as you fish these productive waters. Make sure to take advantage of the snorkeling gear on board to explore the nearby reefs too! Captain Eduardo will provide everything you need for a productive day. That includes tournament grade tackle, as well as bait, fishing licenses, drinks, and snacks. The crew will also clean, fillet and vacuum wrap your catch. On full-day trips, lunch and beer are also included.

Almost got our Sailfish- had it on the line but after 3 jumps it got off- caught 25 Mahi with only my son and I- a lot of action- crew made us Ceviche with the fish we caught-amazing! Fresh pineapple and plenty to drink! Cabin and bathroom accommodations were good! Good communication before the trip and helped get us a taxi home Great Day!!
Today was my 4th or 5th trip out of Pto Aventuras and definitely high on the quality list. Communication with Gary (Owner) and Captain Eduardo was clear and concise from booking through the morning of the trip. Eduardo & crew were loaded, rigged and ready to go with the high-frequency angler energy that makes any day a great day of fishing regardless of the outcome. Pair that with a very productive morning of Yucatán Platform fishing during the tail end of the summer season and you've got a 5 star operation that 10/10 would recommend. We booked a 4 hr trip (8AM -12PM). Boated a Sailfish + gaffed 5 decent sized Mahi in 3 hrs and then we gladly decided to siesta & swim for the last hour. Eduardo & crew fileted the 1 bailer sized Mahi that we caught & prepared fresh civeche for us while we swam in beautiful sargassum-free waters inside of the Pto Aventuras jettys. Great experience and excellent value. Thank you gentleman…we'll be back!!!
The captain and crew were first rate! very welcoming and extremely hard working! We caught Sailfish barracuda and Kings. it was a great trip and i would recommend this group to anyone!

We caught several bonito, a couple barracuda, and a sailfish. The crew was good, and the fresh wahoo ceviche on the boat was amazing. Great experience, would highly recommend.
