Just because it’s winter, it doesn’t mean you can’t go fishing! Shake off the cold and spend an awesome day with Latitude 44 Outfitters. Captain Terry runs ice fishing trips around Saginaw Bay in January and February, ready to accommodate anglers of all skill levels.

However, Saginaw Bay is only one of the launching spots. Capt. Terry runs fishing trips on 20 lakes in the area, including Crystal Lake, Long Lake, Green Lake, and Torch Lake. It all depends on what you want to catch. While Saginaw Bay trips offer Walleye and Perch as the main targets, other lakes have Northern Pike, Lake Trout, Herring, and Burbot.

Ask the captain to recommend the best lake for the fish you want to catch, or simply choose the location that’s most convenient to you.

When you reach the lake, the captain will take you to a fishing spot on a snowmobile. Make sure to bring your helmet for the ride (they are required by the law). You’ll fish in a heated shanty using Fenwick ice fishing poles. The captain also covers your rods and lures.

There’s enough room for 6 guests in the shanty, and kids over 9 years old are welcome to join, too. Capt. Terry will show you everything you need to know in case it’s your first ice fishing experience.

There’s not a better way to warm things up during winter. Take an ice fishing trip with Latitude 44 Outfitters!
