Gaf Adventures offers yet another amazing adventure out of Santa Maria. This time, they have prepared a treat for all hard-core anglers out there. Get ready for 5 days of fishing with an experienced crew and in the company of other fishing enthusiasts, just like you. This is a perfect way to learn new things about catching fish, share the experiences with other fishermen, get a new trophy, and maybe even find a few new friends.
This adventure will take you to Almirante Leite Banks, which is 120 km east of Santa Marina and Inhaca Island. The Almirante Leite banks are situated in the warm Agulhas sea current and were formed by an underwater volcano. The sea bottom floor consists of numerous drop-offs and craters rising from 1000m to 60m below the surface.
You'll be fishing on a 30' Butt Cat boat that accommodates up to 6 guests. This catamaran is powered by twin 200 HP Suzuki engines and easily develops high speeds. Fishing this far offshore can be a challenge and for safety reasons, the boat will be equipped with a Satellite phone and VHF radio.
These fish-rich waters are unused by the sport fisherman and make it a very ideal and exciting destination targeting huge Yellowfin Tuna (20-90 kg), Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Sailfish, Black, Blue, and Striped Marlin.

Captain Laurens Koen has been fishing these waters for the past 3 decades and guided customers for two and a half. He's mastered all the best-hidden fishing spots and tricks of the local fish. He got his undying love of the ocean at just 5 years old, when he got his first pair of fins and a snorkeling mask. He feels lucky that he lives on the water and that what used to be his hobby has become his day job. Always doing everything in his power to help his customers catch as much fish as possible, Capt. Laurens and his team will make sure your trips are fun and successful!

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 30 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
