You’ll be fishing aboard a 38’ (11.5m) Cantieri Costa Smeralda, a solid and comfortable offshore boat designed for serious fishing. The boat is equipped with a fighting chair, top-quality rods and reels, and advanced fish-finding electronics, allowing precise positioning and efficient fishing in all conditions. Comfort is just as important, the boat offers a spacious deck, seating areas, toilet, sofa and air conditioning, making longer sessions at sea relaxed and enjoyable.
Fishing is done in the productive waters off Medulin, southern Istria, typically within 5–10 nautical miles from the coast. Depending on the conditions, trips are organized around sunrise or sunset, when tuna activity is at its peak. Every trip is fully organized, from equipment and bait to guidance and onboard experience, so you can focus completely on the fishing.

From A for angling to Z for target fish - everything was absolutely perfect here. Marco and Emanuel are really, really, really highly recommended. Very nice crew, with a fantastic boat, complete with equipment and the necessary experience. We had a wonderful day, with a 60kg tuna, a fitting little celebration of our success, and a really delicious handmade Croatian sausage and cheese platter. As the perfect finishing touch, skipper Marco timed our return home so that we could also experience the most beautiful sunset ever. Marco and Emanuel, thank you so much for that and we'll be back :0).
Marko and his crew were excellent. The boat is perfectly equipped. They did everything possible to catch a tuna. They were constantly chumming and putting out scent baits. That no tuna came by that day... well, that's fishing. There were also great conversations about the different angling methods, which was interesting since they differ from ours. We were also wonderfully fed and it was a perfect fishing trip. Even as a non-fishing woman along for the ride, it was a great day. We can absolutely recommend Marko and will definitely come back.
Thanks to Marko and Stefan to make my first tuna possible. Start 03:30 am, travelling to the sardine fishing boats. And Marko did pick the correct one: A lot of dolphins around, strike after a few minutes fishing and after 40 minutes my first Tuna, crew did guess 80-90kg, released. Travelling to next spot for drifting, next strike after a few minutes, unfortunately line broken without much pressure; mystery - but that's fishing. Thank you so much guys for this great experience in big game fishing.
One of the best days of my life. We left at 3:30 in the morning under a starry sky. After an incredible sunrise with dolphin visit, we started fishing. It didn't take long for the fish of my life to bite, an incredible fight. The crew was mega nice and courteous to me everything was explained very precisely delicious drinks and there was also food. I can only recommend it, it was an incredibly beautiful day, the best in my life, I will come back🎣❤️

My name is Marko born in Pula. Since we bought the bigger 12m boat in 2021 I decide I'll quit my Navigational Officer job and start work permanently on our Tunana family business. I fell in love with tuna fishing in 2013 the moment I hooked and rilled in my first bluefin of 2,11m and 110kg. After that few more personal records and endless fights with this magnificent fish and countless dawns and sunsets at sea onboard our Tunana boat. Every tuna I catch I'm happy as it's my first one, and always remind myself how grateful I am to have this opportunity and privilege to work as a captain on a charter boat and to share such amazing experiences with fishermen from around the world. My goal is to transmit this wonderful experience of spending a day at sea, on such a nice boat, the lifestyle that I'm lucky to live for the most part of the year, all of that whit few rods in the sea waiting for the most wonderful fish to bite and to cheer us up even more!
