Galveston fishing can be exceptional, and what better way to make the most of it than aboard Reelentless, a state of the art center console run by Captain Michael Regan who is serious about putting his clients onto fish.

The Reelentless is a 35 foot SeaHunter powered by two 300HP Yamaha engines. This feisty boat provides a comfortable, dry ride, featuring high sides that will protect you from spray even on choppier water. This is probably one of the newest boats in the Galveston fishing fleet, featuring top of the line amenities and up to date Garmin electronics. There is plenty of room on deck for up to 6 anglers.

An advantage of fishing out of Galveston is that you are never far from productive fishing grounds. It takes very little time to get to the jetty from the harbor, where you can start fishing right away. Large Black and Red Drum are common around here and make for excellent eating. Other tasty species found in the bay and jetty include Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, Gafftop Catfish and more, and the variety of Shark species in the area can make for fun fishing. Travel up to nine miles out for fantastic nearshore fishing, where you might find monster Bull Drum, Ling and King Mackerel depending on the season. If the blue water is calling your name you will be hard pressed to find better fishing for the variety of fish we can target.

Line Check charters provide top quality fishing gear on all their charter trips. You can expect to be using tackle by Accurate, Penn and Shimano and fishing predominantly with live bait. A variety of bait and lures are brought aboard each charter depending on what the clients are interested in catching and how the fish are biting.

All levels of experience are catered for aboard Line Check. The team’s main goal is to provide each and every angler that fishes with them with the trip of a lifetime. Please note anglers over the age of 16 must bring a Texas saltwater fishing license.

Hit some of his key points/holes. Really windy day…5ft waves, 20+ mph winds. Ended up catching some fish late before sundown! Will definitely be back!!

Captain Michael and First Mate Zach were friendly and knowledgeable from the moment we walked out on the dock.  There was four of us that went and we had plenty of room to walk around on the boat.  My cousin and both our wives went, He and I had done this type of fishing before, but our wives had not.  They told us everything we needed to know and let us do as much or as little as we wanted (within the confines of safety of course) with regards to the fishing, baiting, casting, etc.  We started fishing for speckled trout and sheepshead, and the fish were hitting like crazy!  Later we moved farther out and drifted for shark.  Each of us got to catch a shark and the fishing was relaxing and exciting at the same time.  All our questions got answered and we all talked and laughed the whole trip.  I was even able to catch a 6’ hammerhead shark.  (Don’t get too excited, they are rare in those parts, I just got lucky).  I will DEFINITELY book with Line Check Charters again in the future.  Next time we are doing a full day.  A+ guys, thanks for a great day.

This was our first fishing trip.  My husband and I took our 4 children ages 13, 11, 10, 7. Captain Mike and mate Zach were wonderful.  They took us out and we were able to catch a black tip shark.  So awesome!! Then we came in and caught numerous trout, a redfish, a few other variety. They were great with the kids.  Very patient and knowledgeable!! Will definetly look them up next time we are here in Galveston!! Thank you for a great experience!!
