Description

Galveston fishing can be exceptional, and what better way to make the most of it than aboard Line Check, a state of the art center console run by a group of fanatical fishermen who are serious about putting their clients onto fish.

Line Check is a 30 foot SeaFox 286 Commander powered by two 250HP Yamaha engines. This feisty boat provides a comfortable, dry ride, featuring high sides that will protect you from spray even on choppier water. This is probably one of the newest boats in the Galveston fishing fleet, featuring top of the line amenities and up to date Garmin electronics. There is plenty of room on deck for up to 6 anglers, who will be kept cool during the hot Texan summer thanks to a misting system installed in the hardtop.

An advantage of fishing out of Galveston is that you are never far from productive fishing grounds. It takes very little time to get to the jetty from the harbor, where you can start fishing right away. Large Black and Red Drum are common around here and make for excellent eating. Other tasty species found in the bay and jetty include Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, Gafftop Catfish and more, and the variety of Shark species in the area can make for fun fishing. Travel up to nine miles out for fantastic nearshore fishing, where you might find monster Bull Drum, Ling and King Mackerel depending on the season.

Line Check charters provide top quality fishing gear on all their charter trips. You can expect to be using tackle by Accurate, Penn and Shimano and fishing predominantly with live bait. A variety of bait and lures are brought aboard each charter depending on what the clients are interested in catching and how the fish are biting.

All levels of experience are catered for aboard Line Check. The team’s main goal is to provide each and every angler that fishes with them with the trip of a lifetime. Please note anglers over the age of 16 must bring a Texas saltwater fishing license.

Michael was an amazing guide.  Very professional and fun to fish with.  Caught some flounder and when that slowed down a bit we went out further and caught a couple big redfish.  Will definitely fish with him again.

Mike and Donald provided a great experience for me and my entire group.  The boat was in excellent condition, and the crew provided us with solid equipment and information through out the 4 hour trip that made it a very worthwhile experience, and I can think of no better way that we could have kicked off my brother’s bachelor party than this.  We did not catch as many fish as I would have liked, but that was just the luck of the day.  We did manage to come back with 4 BIG bulls that will make for a delicious fish fry in the near future.  All in all I would highly recommend Fishing Booker and will definitely keep Mike in mind for any future excursions.

Unfortunately the weather was not conducive for a good day for fishing.  The guide warned us the day before and would have rescheduled but we elected to go ahead despite the weather conditions.  The Guide and Deck Hand worked very hard to try to catch fish but the fish just were not cooperating.
