SeaPlay Sportfishing – SeaPlay VI 

we had captain pedro on our shark fishing trip it was cloudy and there had been a storm earlier in the morning but we still went out. the fishing was slow at first. the kids caught a couple catfish and some sting ray not far from where we left the dock which was safe for the kids since the water was choppy . after about 30 to 45 minutes we went out in search of shark captain pedro took us to a spot that he likes to find some shark and we dropped some poles in it was slow at first but the trip did not disappoint. we came to find shark and thats exactly what happened we caught about 6 or 7 shark amd my 3 oldest kids all had a blast reeling in the sharks. the first one we caught was almost 5ft long and the kids had an unforgettable experience just being on the water seeing dolphin and experiencing pulling in some big fish everyone on our trip caught a shark. captain pedro was good with the kids and very friendly he has great knowledge about the waters around galveston and made sure we were safe the whole trip

My famly and I took my husband on this trip for his birthday. Even tho the weather messed with the fishing for everybody, (not just us, other chartrs too) but Pedro and Ayden did everything they could to put us on some big fish. Everyone caught fish, and we had a few keepers that Pedro cleaned and bagged for us. Thank you Pedro and Ayden for all your hard work,we truly enjoyed our time. God bless and keep on fishing❤️

We arrived a couple days after Tropical Storm Bertha made landfall and I fully feel this played a part on our trip and the catches. We caught fish but mainly bait fish and we caught 1really nice spotted trout we were able keep. Pedro was VERY knowledgeable and personable. We would definitely give it another try due to I feel it was the weather and water pressure in the water from the storm and being in the afternoon. We honestly enjoyed just being out fishing and having adult time we caught fish just the ones we caught weren't keepers. Definitely give them a try!!!

We went on a 4hr bay/jetty with Captain Brad and had a BLAST. Not only is he a great captain, but he’s an awesome guy to spend half a day with. He was knowledgable about what fish needed what rigs, had plenty of bait, and gave us pointers on how to catch more fish. We just got into fishing and had a great time. We even brought our friend who just moved to Texas from London and we all agreed it was in the top 5 experiences of our life! We’ll be back.

Captain Pedro was awesome! We started out by checking some crab lines that he had placed the day before. We, myself, my wife and daughter, had to pull the traps in, empty the crabs and throw the traps back in. That was so much fun and we caught quite a few blue crabs and stone crabs. We then went fishing and were able to catch a 30" Red fish, sea trout and several more species. We fished for several hrs and most of the time was NOT travel time, unlike most other charters Ive been on. Captain Pedro baited the hooks, but we cast the lines outs and hooked the fish ourselves. When it was near time to go in, we checked the crab cages again and got several more blue crabs. We ended up with more than two dozen crabs. Once back at the dock, Captain Pedro filleted our fish amd showed me how to easily clean the crabs. He then told us the best way to cook both fish and crab. We had never done a crab boil before, so we followed his instructions and it was so easy to clean them and we made a delicious crab boil. It was so good! We're gonna cook the fish tomorrow night and Im sure they will be delicious as well. Highly recommend this charter and Captain Pedro!

The experience with Captain Pedro was Top notch! We started the day with him meeting us at the front of the dock and getting us loaded up quickly! He got us loaded onto the boat and out on the water quickly! Although he had live shrimp he took us on a short boat ride to catch live bait! In 20 minutes we caught more than 20 bait fish. This was a great way to start the experience for the kids! He took us to our first location where we unfortunately didn’t have any luck! But captain Pedro was on the phone/comms reaching out to other charters and finding new places for us to go! At our second location it took us less than 10 minutes to catch our first fish! Afterwards it erupted! We caught 7 red fish all over 35” and two over 40”! It was an awesome experience. Pedro was super helpful in every facet of the experience! He was great with the kids, was active the entire time keeping as many lines in the water for the maximum time possible, and even filleted all the fish for us! He even connected us with a taxidermist to get our largest fish mounted! Overall it was an incredible experience and we will be booking with SeaPlay again very soon!!!

My friends and I had a fantastic time on our 6 hour afternoon trip. We landed lots of sheepshead, a black drum, two red fish, and three sharks. Captain Pedro was very knowledgeable, accommodating, just a good dude as well. He answer all of our noob questions, and put us on fish immediately. When we asked for sharks, he relocated us and we landed one in the first 5 minutes. We’ll be back, thanks Pedro!

Pedro was great. He worked hard to get us on fish. The fishing gods were not in anyone’s favor but we ended up with a great catch. I would definitely go again. Me and my buddy got a 3/4 day and if we hadn’t got that extra time we wouldn’t have came back with as much fish. Pedro took care of us with everything but our drinks, food and license. Can’t thank them enough.

Sea Play Charters gave us a day to remember! Pedro was the definition of a top-tier guide — patient, upbeat, and determined to make sure everyone had their moment. Our 71-year-old grandma came with one goal: to reel in a big one. Pedro made sure she did just that, helping her land a gorgeous Red Drum that made her whole trip! Once the fish started biting, it was nonstop excitement — sand trout, stingray, a fine tooth shark, and an unforgettable 100-pound lemon shark. Pedro’s positivity and care made the day feel special for everyone on board!

Captain called the night before to finalize plans, find out what we wanted to fish for and also to make sure we knew which licenses / tags to get. Our youngest son (who wanted to do this for his bday) wanted to catch a shark and he was able to catch three. The smiles and joy he had were worth it. Other kids and hubby caught sharks and sting rays. Captain was knowledgable about where to go and helped them to know how to reel in ocean fish (whichbis very different from pond fishing!) We enjoyed the experience!
