After years of operating charter boats for other people and after lots of work and persistence, Captain 'Ricochet Jay' Andrews succeeded in buying his own boat. Now, he runs year-round fishing trips the way he always wanted – suitable for anglers of all skill levels and family-friendly. He's happy to accommodate more adult friendly trips where both smoking and drinking are okay, and the music is much louder!
Your trip starts on a 31' Grady White boat that accommodates up to 6 guests. This center console is geared up with the latest navigational electronics. Powered by twin 300 Yamaha engines, she'll take you to where the fish are fast, so you'll have more time fishing. To make this experience comfortable during a long trip, there's also a private toilet.
Throughout the year, you can take a trolling trip and target Spanish Mackerel, Kingfish, Cobia, Jack Crevalle, and many more. However, the peak of the season is in June, July, August, and September when Red Snapper is in season. Your fishing equipment, including rods, reels, lures, and bait is fully covered by the captain. Feel free to bring a small cooler for your snacks and drinks. If you enjoy your fishing experience, a 18-22% gratuity of the total trip cost is customary, appreciated, and expected, because the mate/deckhand works for tips only.

My family and I booked a 6-hour offshore red snapper fishing trip, and it exceeded our expectations. The captain was friendly, professional, and worked hard to make sure everyone had a great experience. He put us on the fish quickly, and we were able to limit out on red snapper with plenty of action throughout the trip. Whether you’re an experienced angler or just looking for a fun day on the water with family, I highly recommend this charter. We had an amazing time, brought home plenty of fish, and made some great memories. We would definitely book with them again!

Captain Jay and James took us on a blast of a trip. we caught a bunch of fish including red snapper, cobia, and some amberjack. They definitely knew what they were doing and kept us all going. They were great and would absolutely recommend!

We had the best time fishing with Captain Jay today! We trolled, caught a spanish mackerel and then headed out to catch our limit of red snapper. We were very successful, catching the whole time we were out there. He was very knowledgeable and a great teacher to my 3 boys! I would highly recommend hiring Ricochet and captain Jay for your deep sea adventure!

Captain Jay and James were amazing. They both worked hard keeping us on fish and our poles baited. Captain Jay even worked his schedule around to get us out a day earlier than we had planned due to upcoming weather. Without this change we would not have been able to go out at all. Great time with ricochet, he put us on the fish early. We caught our limit of red snappers. We even tried some shark fishing, which was super fun when we got hooked up on one! I took my two sons and one of their buddies. We had a great time. This would be a fun trip for the family are a group of friends.

I've been fishing professionally since 2014 and purchased my Grady White 306 in New York in 2019 and brought it back to Alabama. After a lot of blood, sweat, and tears; I'm enjoying serving customers as an owner/captain.
