Bill Busters V is all about creating memories. Its crew’s been fishing since childhood and desires to share its fishing enthusiasm with you! Come and join USCG Captain Hunter, in Port Aransas, Texas for breathtaking offshore trips. He and his First Mate are passionate about making their customers happy and having a productive fishing adventure!
Your ride will be a 38’ Bertram Express offshore sportfishing boat. It can seat up to 6 persons. Powered by two 460 HP Cummins engines, it is a pleasant ride. The boat’s got a full navigation system, flybridge, and toilet. For maximum pleasure, there is air conditioning and a full salon and a V-berth below.
Some of the fish that you’ll be targeting are Amberjack, Tuna, Wahoo, Snapper, and even Mako Shark, depending upon the season and sea conditions. You can either release your catch or keep it and bring it home with you. It’s completely your call. With provided tackle, you’ll fish using bottom fishing, drift fishing, and trolling techniques. Depending upon the season and fish, you’ll have access to a live well. We welcome kiddos five years and older as one of the six anglers, provided someone keeps an eye on them while on board. Remember to bring fishing licenses for those fishing.
No need to worry about tackle and baits or lures because the crew will provide them. Live bait and lures will be available depending upon the season and fish.

Fishing Charter with Bill Buster V

Did a Charter deep sea fishing trip for 8 hours with Bill Buster V on 6/4/25 to celebrate 2 wedding anniversaries and 2 birthdays! Could not say enough to describe the owners and crew! Answered my emails within minutes and kept me posted on everything! Ron and Kay (Owners) met us at 6AM at the dock, very friendly, knowledgeable and answered all the questions we asked and even took our family picture💕. The boat was very spacious for 6 people(max), clean, cabin had a/c and benches and decorated to celebrate our special days!
It was slightly choppy on the way out but Captain Hunter and Mate Andrew did an awesome job! They even gave us an option if we wanted to cut the trip down to 6 hrs, but we knew we were in good hands so,”continue on”!!! And we were glad we did! Captain Hunter knew exactly where to drop our bait, caught our limit on the snappers, lots of barracudas and a King Mackerel, which the fish guy that cleaned our fish said that it’s the biggest King he’s seen in a while! Mate Andrew was always there to help! I (Grandma) had a hard time reeling and he was always there to help me!💕. Funny side note: Went deep sea fishing with a displaced rib and pain, came home ribs better from probably having lots of laughter and reeling and rib popped back in place🤣🤣🤣. Hands down Bill Buster V is the best!

Quite happy with the variety and quality of the catch. Snapper limit, shark, king, and barracuda on an 8 hour trip. The first mate kept bait in the water and changed tactics frequently to optimize the catch.
The boat does not have a/c and was a little warm but ok. Both the captain and first mate were smokers but it really didn’t bother us too much.
Overall 5 star on the charter.

You are correct, there is not air conditioning in the open air helm area in this Bertram Express, but there is air conditioning in the closed salon and v-berth in the cabin. Good weather and good times

I would HIGHLY recommend this charter to everyone to try at least once. The owners greeted us at the dock, introduced us to the crew, and we were underway. We booked for a 12hr but high seas turned it into an 8hr and I still don’t regret it. They put us on fish after fish, and just kept reeling them in. We are all very pleased with everyone involved.
