The company is operated by the 2011 Destin Fishing Rodeo Captain of The Year. Capt. Steve has been mastering the waters for almost two decades and knows the area like the back of his hand.
A day out with Lock N Load will be full of entertaining fish stories, beautiful scenery, and family memories that will last a lifetime. Capt. Steve caters to everyone, be it a complete beginner, a younger angler, or a highly experienced fisherman.
Explore the white sandy beaches. Head up to 9 miles out and check the bite nearshore. Take as many species as possible off your personal angling bucket list. Test yourself in trolling and bottom fishing for the likes of Snapper, Sailfish, Marlin, Grouper, Amberjack, Wahoo, King Mackerel, Sheepshead, and even Sharks!
Capt. Steve will provide you with only the finest tackle available by the leading brands such as Penn International. He will greet you with a warm welcome aboard the 'Lock N Load', a 28' Mako. She comes powered by a new 350 HP Yamaha engine and can comfortably take up to six anglers. Fish in comfort and style, using the latest and most advanced fish finding electronics, as well as professional tools and accessories.
The Lock N Load is equipped with dry storage, comfortable seating, and a restroom. She also features a flybridge, which will only make your fishing adventure more exciting.
All trips come with gear, tackle, licenses, and lures. Your catch will be cleaned and ready to go straight into the frying pan.

Great time. We fish regularly at home but wanted to catch things we dont normally and we did just that. 3 amberjacks, 2 snappers and we hooked onto a shark and we all battled for 30 mins before the line finally snapped. Husband saw it right as the line snapped. Capt Steve seems to know his stuff. We were put on fish everytime with barely any delays. We had 2 adults. 2 teen girls and 2 young boys and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed taking you guys, you were so wonderful, it took a little longer catching bait, but I wanted to give you some extra time and it paid off, you guys did fantastic. Such a wonderful family! ❤️
Captain Steve was an awesome host for our family’s spring break excursion! Despite it being early in the season, he put us on a ton of fish and had nothing but patience with the kids, teaching them every step of the way! He took care of everything so we could just focus on having a great time - we highly recommend Lock N Load Chartera!

Captain Steve Brown is a Tennessee native. Growing up, Steve spent most of his time hunting and fishing the banks of the Tennessee River. When Steve graduated with a degree in theology, he went to professionally guide hunting trips in central Montana. But the waters of the 'World's Luckiest Fishing Village' have always been his dream. Steve moved to Destin in 2001 and began learning from other captains and anglers along the Emerald Coast. Eventually, he won 'Captain of the Year' in 2011 and the world famous 'Destin Fishing Rodeo.'
