Gunny B Outdoors offers inshore, nearshore, offshore fishing trips in North Carolina. Captain Brad will do his best to put you on the fish and make your trip enjoyable and fun.

You and the captain will be using light tackle while fishing. The charter is kids-friendly so bring along them as well and make the trip even more interesting. Those of you who want to keep the fish they catch are free to do so. Otherwise, you'll release it back to the water.

Captain Brad uses a 24' Blue Wave Pure Bay fishing boat which is powered by a 350 HP Suzuki engine. There's enough room for up to 6 guests onboard. The boat's got electronic navigation and fishfinder system and comes with an ice-box and a livewell.

The charter provides all the equipment you'll need during the trip. This includes rods, reels, terminal tackle, lures, live bait, as well as fishing licenses. Also, the captain can clean and fillet your catch so you can bring it home and enjoy the delicious meals. If you'd like any snacks or drinks, you're free to bring along whatever you wish. The captain will provide you with bottled water.

4 Hour Trip – am Shark Fishing on August 3, 2024 • 3 adults

Captain Brad did a phenomenal job putting us on shark and managing the chaos of having three of us fishing at one time. 

It was exciting and at the same time I felt safe - even holding the sharks.  He made us all so comfortable, it felt like fishing with a friend! 

If you’re looking for a great experience - he’s your guy!

Great time fishing with son

2 Hour Trip – Bottom Fishing on March 27, 2024 • 2 adults

My 15 year old son and I had a great time fishing with Captain Brad.  The fish were not biting early on, but he found another spot where we were reeling them in, so lots of excitement for my son, which is all that mattered to me.  Capt Brad kept the trip interesting with our conversations and we all had a good time on the water.

We blasted through the marshes in Gunny B’s excellent in-shore fishing boat, but had terrible luck—still, he kept the lines alive all morning and we were able to take home a couple of souvenirs anyway! Great time!

Half day trip with Captain Brad

4 Hour Trip (AM) on May 22, 2023 • 2 adults

Beautiful morning on the water although a bit windy and cool. Captain Brad took us to all of the hotspots but the fish weren’t very cooperative. 3 Redfish were landed and a couple of others slipped the hook. Looking forward to trying again soon!
