Fin Chaser Sportfishing is a family-run business with a dedication to providing the best experience! The Fin Chaser is captained by Jose Paniagua, who has over 23 years of fishing experience at the Sea of Cortez of Los Cabos and in the Pacific waters.

Start the adventure on a 33’ Blackfin Sportfisher, perfect for a full day of fishing offshore and inshore. This sportfishing boat has twin 300 HP Cummins Turbo Diesel engines that easily reach high-speeds when you want to save more time for catching fish. There are all kinds of fishing equipment on board, such as a fighting chair, a live bait tank, tuna tubes, and many more. To make the trip more comfortable, there’s also a private bathroom, an enclosed cabin, and a kitchen.

The Fin Chaser and crew can fish for the species you want to target depending on the water conditions and time of year. They use everything you can think of…and then some - lures, Rappalas, Marauders, Hoochies, live bait, dead bait, they fly kites, run teasers, and spreader bars, cast live bait, jigging, and trolling.

This variety of techniques brings lots of fish you can target. This includes everything from inshore Roosterfish and Mackerel, to offshore Tuna, Marlin, and Sailfish.

The crew covers your fishing equipment on each trip, while your fishing licenses and box lunches depend on the type of the trip.

Full Day Trip – Bare Bones on July 25, 2025 • 2 adults • 4 children

Fin Chaser knows how to put you on fish. The Captain and Mate made this a once in a lifetime trip for my family. We put double digit yellow fin in the boat and saved a Dorado for last.We relised we pick the right boat within the first 20 mins with a few quick warm ups but then we got into the tuna. We started with no boats within a quarter mile and within minutes everyone was next to us because we found the schools. We had 9 and 11 year old girls and 12 year boy, the Mate had them battling tuna on their own within minutes. Truly an amazing experiencece one for the record books that the whole family will remember. Thank you Fin Chaser for exceeding our expectations.

Only 1 hour trip but caught 2 fish!!

Sunset Vistas & Angling for 3 hours on May 26, 2025 • 5 adults

My family and I booked a private Sunset fishing trip in hopes to catching some fish. We were told that catching fish this late in the day might pose a challenge. Regardless we met with Francisco and the crew Ramon and Glen and went out way. 30 minutes into the trip and my daughter started to experience motion sickness. Her health was more important to me than fishing for 3 hours. I asked to crew to cut our time short and head back to the marina. They were sorry about what happened but complied immediately. On our way back, we were able to catch a Wahoo and the fish that I've always wanted to catch and what I had my heart set on; An El Dorado or Mahi Mahi! We made it back for the marina by 5:30 and my daughter felt so much better. We took pictures and we were so grateful for the crew and how they treated us and respected our decision. I would highly recommend this crew again!

Full Day Trip – Bare Bones on April 3, 2025 • 3 adults

Took my son and his friend fishing in Cabo w/ Fin Chaser. Fernando met us at marina and was very friendly, communicative, and spoke great English. He took care of our licenses ahead of time so we literally hopped on the boat and were fishing in about 30 min. Captain Ramon and deck hand Mario were hard working and friendly. Put us on fish immediately . We had limits of Sierra by 8:20am. I've fished with many different charters in Cabo for years and can vouch for Fin Chaser. Great experience all around. Will fish with them next time we're here.

Amazing day on the water ! Whales, dolphins and the FISH !!!!! Crew worked hard and kept us on the fish ! Started slow but they made it happen and we were so very happy ! we will absolutely use them next time we are in town!

Great fishing trip!

Full Day Trip – All Inclusive on June 5, 2025 • 5 adults

Started at our meeting point at 545, on time. We were on the boat before 6, quick fueling, live bait and ice purchase and a quick check by authorities on our license....all took 15/20. We hit the rough seas and in about 20/30 we were fishing! The action was quick and several multi hookups of tuna! After 3 hours we had 25 hookups and boarded 21 tuna! No Marlins for us and only saw one that was caught. The captain and crew member kept on the fish until we said uncle!! This is a good outfit to book if you are serious about catching fish. I only recommend that you bring earplugs for the diesel engines when you're heading out!! Thanks for a great day!
