Falling Tide Fishing Adventures is a veteran owned and operated fishing charter, based in Wilmington, NC. Captain Zane has been fishing these waters for years and specializes in inshore and nearshore spots.
Suitable for anglers of all expertise, Capt. Zane can accommodate novices who are eager to catch their first fish, as well as seasoned anglers. Start inshore, fish with the assistance of Capt. Zane, and slowly build your skill up to the big offshore species.
You'll be fishing on a 21' SeaBorn boat that accommodates up to 3 guests. Small groups also make it easier for the captain to give more attention to every guest. This bay boat is powered by a 140 HP Suzuki engine and a wireless trolling motor, and features a live bait tank, a cooler, and a multimedia system for your favorite music.
When you're fishing in the area that's rich with a variety of fish species, it's hard to specify what you'll catch. If we try to sum it up, you'll most likely go after Flounder, Redfish, Sheepshead, Trout, Spanish Mackerel, Kingfish, and Black Drum.
Kids are welcome to join with their parents, just let the captain know of their age, so the appropriate life vest can be prepared. Your fishing equipment and licenses are fully covered. After the trip, Capt. Zane will clean your catch, so you can expect a tasty fish feast. Just bring your snacks, drinks, and sun protection, and you're ready to go!

Half Day trip with Captain Zane Long

Captain Zane was personable, an expert fisherman and boatsman prone to teach and share info about how to fish, types of fish, habits of birds and fish. He shared info about the sound, UNCW's and CCC's research there. Since my family members are educators, we all appreciated this information, enhancing the trip even more. We caught 21 fish large enough to bring home. It was great. However, the website promised that he would clean and filet the fish. That didn't happen. We paid over $40.00 to a business he recommended to us. Nevertheless, we would go again and would recommend Captain Zane.

This was my son's first time going fishing on a Charter and Capt Zane made it an amazing trip! We not only caught everything from sharks to Black Sea Bass and Red Drum but he was so patient with my 7 year only and the on onslaught of questions he threw at him. Capt Zane truly gave us all an amazing and memorial trip. We look forward to our next fishing adventure with him!

Great Fishing Trip

Captain Zane was amazing! We had so much fun. We only wanted to do a short trip because we are from out of town and had family members that didn’t want to fish. Captain Zane accommodated us by allowing me to book the 2 hour kids tour, even though we didn’t have any kids. All 3 of us that went fishing caught at least 1 fish. It was an awesome experience. Thank you!
