Hooked On Charters specializes in light tackle sport fishing for Boca Grande Tarpon and many other species out of Punta Gorda, Florida. Join the crew for a fun day out fishing the flats and backcountry and create memories that will last forever.
Step aboard a 24-foot Proline, a beautiful and comfortable fishing machine. It comes powered by a 200 HP Yamaha engine and has a maximum cruising speed of 35 knots. Originally built in 1974, the boat was uphauled in 2015 and is rigged with modern Lowrance navigational electronics, along with safety facilities. The stable platform has enough space for up to four people to fish in comfort and relax in between the bites. The boat is fitted with a fighting chair for those of you who are up to a challenge, as well as an ice-box to keep your catch fresh during the day, and a 60-gallon livewell loaded with crabs and other bait.
Fishing for Boca Grande Tarpon is an experience you simply can't miss. When Tarpon come in season, a lot of anglers all around the country travel to Florida to take the Silver King off their bucket list. May 7 till July 10 is the best time to enjoy the 'Hill Tide'. Watching a hungry Tarpon jumping 8 feet out of the water is a truly unique experience!
If Tarpon don't excite you, you will be able to enjoy a fun day out close to the shore. Inshore and backcountry fishing in Punta Gorda attracts many anglers all around the globe. There is a rich variety of Redfish, Flounder, Snook, Cobia, Spotted Seatrout, and many other species.

Fishing was tough. It might of been the full moon. Capt. Scott didn't give up! We must of traveled 80 miles hitting every spot he had up his sleeve. The fish just weren't cooperating. We stayed out way over our time limit trying to put me on fish. It just wasn't in the cards. The Capt. gets a 12 in effort.
