Meet Captain Ryan Raines, a life-long Erie County resident and fishing addict. He's also a father to a princess and counts it a blessing to help you and your family and friends enjoy their time on Lake Erie.
Capt. Ryan looks forward to welcoming you aboard his 20' Skeeter, where you'll find everything you need for a safe and exciting day on the water. Rest assured knowing that they have you covered with the fishing and navigation via three extra large Humminbird GPS Plotters/Fishfinders, a VHF radio, two gas, and one electric trolling motor also offer redundancy to keep you safe. Along with those basics, there are dozens of rods/reels and more tackle than you can count.
The majority of the guests choose to target Walleye, Lake Trout, and Steelhead trolling, but this can be accommodated to suit the needs of your group.
If you're interested in early season jigging and drifting trips, let the captain know in advance. He can arrange a trip for smaller groups throughout Northwest Pennsylvania. He offers this trailered option to get you on the water wherever you are.

This is the 4th time I’ve been fishing with Capt. Ryan. There’s a good reason for that the fishing and experience is always excellent. This time was no different. We caught our limit of Walleye within an hour with several being 24” or better. My only complaint if I could make one would be that the fishing was to good and I wish the fishing could've lasted longer. Capt Ryan got us on good fish and as always is great company. I look forward to the next time.

Capt. Ryan showed me and my father in law a great time on Lake Erie. Even with tough conditions he managed to put us on fish. While we caught no whales we did manage to catch a few for the cooler one of which was the smallest Lake Trout he had ever seen 😂. Capt. Ryan works tirelessly to get you on fish and you will get your moneys worth no matter if you have a banner day of fishing or a mediocre one. As they say a “day on the water beats a day in the office”.
I flew in from florida to take my grandson walleye fushing. We had to cancel the first day due to weather and went out the next day. Ryan put us on fish about 8 miles out. Then it was up to my grandson Gabriel and I to get them to the boat. We had our limit in under 2 hours. It was a great time had by all and my favorite part, no one got hurt. I highly recommend. Shawn
Our fishing trip with Ryan was awesome and so much better than previous charter experiences. Captain Ryan has a great personality, and he saw to it that my boys had a fun time. The boat was very clean, and my boys and I were really impressed with his onboard tech. I could tell that Ryan knew the lake well because we reached our catch limit in less than 3 hours! In addition, his rates are very reasonable. If you're looking for a great charter, stop researching now and book a trip with Ryan!

Our fishing trip with Captain Ryan was amazing. He is so knowledgeable of the area and knows exactly where to go to catch fish. We actually lost count of the fish we caught, but if I had to guess, I would say around 50 to 60. We did a catch and release tour, which explains the abundance of fish we were allowed to catch. We barely got the bait in the water before something was biting. Awesome experience! We would highly recommend Captain Ryan to host your next fishing trip on Lake Erie.

I've been fishing since I was too young to remember. As I grew up I fished in every conceivable piece of water I could reach via bicycle. As I got older I was lucky to spend tons of time on Lake Erie and Presque Isle Bay. It was my dream to be able to take people fishing for a living one day.That dream was interrupted by a 20 year career in information technology, starting a family, and building a future. In the summer of 2019 I lost my mother to cancer. In the aftermath of that experience I knew I had to make a change in my professional life. Shortly there after I refocused on my passions and Chasing Dreams Sportfishing was born. Today I'm lucky to share my love of fishing with people of all ages and skill levels.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
