Riplines Johnny Maddox Charters (SportFishing Adventures) welcomes you to Marathon,Florida to enjoy some of the world’s best fishing. USCG licensed and insured,Captain Rip and Johnny are tournament-winning anglers who invites you to a fun fishing experience by being on our fishing team. Hop aboard and fish offshore, inshore, reefs, wrecks, the Atlantic, and the Gulf. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned angler, the crew welcomes you aboard its fishing adventure.
Your boat for the day is a 24’ custom Proline Sportsman, center console that fits up to 4 guests. It runs on a 250 HP Suzuki engine, uses all the modern navigation electronics… For a better fishing experience, the boat uses a live well, for live bait and outriggers for trolling.
Using light and heavy tackle, you and Captain Rip and Capt.Johnny fish the bottom, deep sea, drift, and kite fishing, as well as trolling, spinning, and jigging. Some of the species you can expect to chase are Mahi Mahi, Yellowtail Snapper, Tarpon, Blackfin Tuna, Black Grouper, and Wahoo. PLUS you can keep your catch. Your captain will clean and fillet it for you, free of charge. You’re welcome to bring your kids aboard.
Riplines Johnny Maddox charters has all the fishing tackle and licenses are provided, so just bring your sunglasses, food, drinks, and sunscreen.

our trip was fantastic! we caught several mahi, a yellow tail snapper & a few tile. its always been our dream to go that far out and catch such gorgeous fish & our captian did an amazing job! we loved every second + the napping beanbag was amazing!

We went fishing with Captain Brian and mate Cody on the 23rd and the 25th. We had a limit of tuna one day and caught a bunch of yellow tail snapper on the other trip as requested. These guys are friendly, helpful and felt like I had know them forever. I have fished with many guides over the years all around and I thing I had the most fun with these guys. The main man Captain Johnny Maddox is a great man. He could not be more be a more responsive caring guy. Made sure we had what we needed for our trips before we went. A very well run business.

captain Brian was great! I told him i would like my boys to catch a mahi, we ended up with 11 keepers! we had 3 hooked up at once. great experience, kids loved it. would highly recommend!
Captain Brian and Isaak were amazing. we started early and went for the run and gun, we got a small mahi, a huge bonito and we had an incredible hit that got the drag going nuts, but eventually lost that one! After a bit they got us on yellowtails and we ended up getting our limit. Rip and Johnny were great to work with for the setup of it all, they answered all the questions we had.

The love of fishing has been in Captain Johnny’s and Captain Rip’s blood since they were boys. Growing up in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Captain Rip spent his early days fishing from Anglin’s Fishing Pier. He went on many head boat and charter trips with his father and friends, which helped shape his lifelong passion for fishing. Captain Rip purchased his first boat in 1984. Both Captain Rip and Captain Johnny have fished extensively offshore, from Jacksonville, FL, to Marathon and the Bahamas. They have experience both as anglers and captains, participating in billfish tournament circuits along the Southeast Florida coast and in the Bahamas. Their accomplishments include a top-five finish in the Annual Lighthouse Point Invitational Sailfish Tournament, as well as top boat and angler honors in the Fort Lauderdale Semi-Annual Billfish Tournament. Captain Rip’s professional career has taken him throughout the United States, and his passion for fishing has allowed him to adapt to the many fisheries and waters where he has lived. The one constant throughout all these years has been fishing. It has introduced him to lifelong friends and created an endless number of unforgettable fishing stories.
