USCG licensed and insured, Captain Rip Slendak is a tournament-winning angler who invites you to an interactive approach to the Riplines Charter fishing experience by being an integral part of the fishing team. Hop aboard and fish offshore, inshore, reefs, wrecks, the Atlantic, and the Gulf. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned angler, the crew welcomes you aboard its fishing adventure.

Your boat for the day is a 23’ Tidewater center console that fits up to 4 guests. It runs on a 250 HP Yamaha engine, uses all the modern navigation electronics… For a better fishing experience, the boat uses a live well, for live bait and outriggers for trolling.

Using light and heavy tackle, you and Captain Rip will attract fish by bottom, deep sea, drift, and kite fishing, as well as trolling, spinning, and jigging. Some of the species you can expect to chase are Mahi Mahi, Yellowtail Snapper, Tarpon, Blackfin Tuna, Black Grouper, and Blue Marlin. If you choose to keep the fish you catch, the captain will clean and fillet it for you, free of charge. You’re welcome to bring your kids aboard.
Captain Rip provides all the fishing tackle and licenses are provided, so just bring your sunglasses, food, drinks, and sunscreen.

Captain Johnny Maddox is an iconic Captain/Guide in Marathon with over 25 years of experience and performs at the highest standards to fulfill our anglers' expectations. Captain Johnny is also a 5-Star rated captain.

At this time a Proline 24' with a 250 hp Suzuki outboard, and a 31' OceanMaster with twin Suzuki 300 hp outboards are available for Riplines anglers.

3/4 Day Trip - Reef & Wrecks on September 25, 2025 • 4 adults

We went fishing with Captain Brian and mate Cody on the 23rd and the 25th. We had a limit of tuna one day and caught a bunch of yellow tail snapper on the other trip as requested. These guys are friendly, helpful and felt like I had know them forever. I have fished with many guides over the years all around and I thing I had the most fun with these guys. The main man Captain Johnny Maddox is a great man. He could not be more be a more responsive caring guy. Made sure we had what we needed for our trips before we went. A very well run business.

Another great day in the Keys!

AM 4-hour Half Day–Reef/Wreck-$695 on July 3, 2025 • 3 adults

My kids and I had a blast with Riplines and Captain Johnny Maddox! From start to finish, the experience was top-notch. Great communication after booking and prior to the trip. We booked a half day trip out to the reef with my teens and Captain Johnny had us on the fish in no time — the day flew as we were reeling in Yellowtail and some Mangrove's one after another. You could tell he really knows the area and how to put you in the right spot. Beyond the great fishing, Captain Johnny and his crew were friendly, professional, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and had a great time. All around great guys and I enjoyed our conversations. Whether you're an experienced angler or just looking to have some fun on the water, this is the charter to book. Highly recommend and we'll definitely be back!

Awesome Day on the Water with Captain Rip!

8 - Hour Full Day / $1295 on February 25, 2025 • 1 adult

I had an amazing day out on the water with Captain Rip! He really knows his stuff when it comes to finding fish and getting you hooked up. In spite of the challenging weather conditions, I landed a 52-inch Wahoo within the first two hours—what an incredible start! We then continued our search for a Sailfish, and Captain Rip delivered again. After an exciting fight, I was able to get her to the boat for a legal catch, and we released her to be caught another day. I can’t recommend Captain Rip highly enough. He's not only an expert fisherman but also a great guy to spend the day with. It was a fun, unforgettable experience, and I can't wait to fish with him again!

Awesome Christmas gift!

3/4 Day Trip - Reef & Wrecks on December 21, 2025 • 3 adults

Captain Brian and Isaak were amazing. we started early and went for the run and gun, we got a small mahi, a huge bonito and we had an incredible hit that got the drag going nuts, but eventually lost that one! After a bit they got us on yellowtails and we ended up getting our limit. Rip and Johnny were great to work with for the setup of it all, they answered all the questions we had.
