While on the Jersey Key you will notice instantly that we run a clean, professional, and friendly operation. While fishing with us, you can be as hands-on or hands-off as you would like. We enjoy letting our customers cast and hook their own fish, but we have no problem hooking them for you if you’d like!
We like to emphazise that we will not take you out in terrible conditions just to collect. We want every trip to have a fun and successful day on the water. We are always looking for repeat customers!!

We pride ourselves in using all top-of-the-line tackle and keep everything in perfect condition. Whether looking for a relaxing day of family fishing on the reef or chasing trophy fish offshore we will make sure to meet your request! Our job is to catch you fish and that is what we do best! We will not sit in one spot and say sorry the fish just aren’t biting today. We will work hard and burn fuel to make sure your day is successful.

While on board you can play your own music on our Bluetooth stereo, kick back, unwind, and witness the beautiful and amazing fishing the Florida Keys waters have to offer.

Captain Mike will be taking you fishing aboard a beautiful 32’ Contender that is tournament rigged and ready for anything. This great vessel comes with all the amenities you need for a productive day including 3 livewells, large fish-boxes, seating, and plenty of shade for you to escape the heat. On the deck, there’s plenty of room for all anglers to be able to be involved while being comfortable.

Captain and first mate worked hard

3/4 Day Trip – Offshore on February 20, 2025 • 3 adults

We had actually booked 2 charters with Capt Mike but unfortunately he had serious boat issues the day we were scheduled for the first charter. Due to the debacle, he kindly discounted our second outing, which is great customer service! There was a front that moved in before we headed out, which ended up making the fishing difficult. Capt Mike and first mate Miles worked hard to get us on some fish. We moved to several locations and he was on the phone quite a bit investigating who in his network was getting fish and where the best water was. We tried wreck fishing, kite fishing and reef fishing on the full day trip. We managed to pull in some nice Amber Jacks and a real big Mutton snapper on the wrecks and lots of yellowtail snapper on the reef. All in all we had a great time and got some nice fish! Would definitely book again!

Reef, Wreck, and Offshore Day Trip

Half Day Trip AM – Reef on April 24, 2025 • 1 adult

Captain Mike and first mate Miles did an excellent job getting around the reef, wreck, and offshore fishing spots. They were well prepared with bait and tackle for each location. Worked very hard to locate fish. Provided insights on free line and live lining techniques. Even assisted hooking some additional fish at the reef to ensure we landed as many fish as possible. We caught some nice yellowtail and landed one grouper on the trip. Well recommended to anyone looking for a daytrip in the Marathon area.

Great family fishing

Half Day Trip AM – Reef on December 27, 2025 • 4 adults • 1 child

we had a great experience with Capt Mike, he worked hard to make sure we had plenty of fish. We had myself, wife, and 2 boys (11 and 14). We all caught plenty including finding a grouper honey hole where each of us caught keepers! We took home plenty of fish! Mike is a great guy and I would highly recommend Jersey Keys and Capt Mike!

3/4 Day Trip – Reef and Wreck on May 25, 2025 • 2 adults

First time out with Jersey Key charters and will not be the last. The wife and I have been on well over a dozen charter trips in the Keys and fishing with Capt Mike was our most enjoyable charter to date. Very hard working and extremely nice and patient. We started on the reef and caught a bunch of yellowtails and then went to chase mahi. We ended up catching about 20 and keeping 10. It was not easy fishing but Capt Mike never stopped and got us on fish.

Excellent day on the water!!

3/4 Day Trip – Reef and Wreck on May 2, 2025 • 5 adults

Started with “sporty” conditions for the day and Cpt. Mike and Kyle immediately found the Yellow Tail bite. Looking for grouper with a number of strikes on the bottom, but no joy getting on the boat. Ended the day on Mahi adding to the hook n cook meal for the day. Clean boat. Clean tackle. Definitely heading out again with Jersey Key Charters when in Marathon! Highly recommend with fair charter rates.
