Based in Wanchese, NC, this trip offers not just thrilling fishing, but also scenic views of coastal reefs and marine life. Whether you're a seasoned angler or trying fishing for the first time, you're in for an unforgettable adventure.
Fish aboard a spacious 45’ Billy Holton sportfishing vessel equipped for serious offshore action and total comfort. With room for up to 6 guests, the boat features an 800 HP Detroit engine, advanced navigation tech, outriggers, downriggers, livewell, and a fighting chair. You’ll also find a toilet, flybridge, air conditioning, a bed, and even a TV to keep you comfortable between bites. A helpful first mate will be onboard to assist throughout the trip.
Depending on the season, you’ll target species like Kingfish, Mahi Mahi, Marlin, Cobia, and more. Try your hand at bottom fishing, trolling, deep sea fishing, jigging, popping, or drift fishing using both light and heavy tackle. Keep your catch or release—it’s your call!
Captain Doug provides all rods, reels, tackle, bait, lures, and fishing licenses. Just bring food, drinks, and a sense of adventure.

Fantastic 4-Hour Inshore Trip with Captain Doug!

We had an amazing 4-hour trip aboard No Sweat with Captain Doug. He went above and beyond by taking us further out than usual to make sure we found the fish—and it definitely paid off! We landed 5 big bluefish and 2 albacore tuna and even had the excitement of losing another right at the boat.
Captain Doug was knowledgeable, professional, and clearly knew where to find the action. Great boat, great atmosphere, and great fishing. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a productive and enjoyable day on the water!

Captain Sullivan put us on the fish. Deckhand Robbie was great, not only did he have patience with us knowing not all of us had been offshore fishing, he was very knowledgeable and had us bringing blackfin tuna in 3-5 at a time. Definitely will be using No Sweat again.

Full Day Trip – Tower Fishing on June 14, 2023 • 6 adults
We had an awesome time on the No Sweat. The captain definitely put us on the fish and the mate is very obviously experienced and didn’t mind answering 100 questions from our group. The one SLIGHT thing that I would critique is our group didn’t get put to work very much. The mate essentially did everything up to and including baiting the hooks and taking fish off the hooks. Again, this wasn’t a deal breaker by any means, just an observation. I personally enjoy doing as much work on a fishing trip and the mate will allow so I have a personal bias. However, the mate was very efficient and definitely knew how to get fish in the boat. I’m sure the clientele he typically deals with shouldn’t be anywhere near a sharp object so I can definitely understand. Overall, it was a great time. We caught fish, crew was great and the boat was awesome. Couldn’t ask for a much better experience!

Thank you so much Jordan for the good review. As for the mate baiting and taking the fish off and hooks that is also being courteous to the next couple trips that are coming on the boat that day. For the simple reason the more that we can control the fish slime and bait smell with one set of hands is easier to control that if everybody got their hands dirty it would get all over the boat. My mate tries to stay in control of it and at the same time pamper the crew for that is his job to be able to earn his tip. Again thank you for fishing with us!

The Captain and 1st mate made this fishing trip very enjoyable. The Captain made sure we were comfortable, safe, and kept us well informed. The 1st mate, Ben, was AWESOME. Ben did everything possible to make sure we caught fish. He answered any and all questions or concerns we may have had, no matter how trivial. He took pride in his job and seemed enthused to share his knowledge with us. We couldn't have been more happy with our experience with No Sweat. Big thanks to Captain Doug and Ben for giving us great memories that'll last a lifetime.
