Captain Mike is a relaxed and flexible captain who says everyone is welcome on his charters. Families are welcome, and so are their dogs, kittens, or even parrots. Captain Mike wants everyone to enjoy a true family adventure!
Fishing is done aboard a 42' custom-built commercial boat that offers a clean, comfortable and air-conditioned ride. This beauty is powered by two 330 HP engines, which means you'll get to the deeper fishing grounds quickly and efficiently, so you have plenty of fishing time. The vessel has a toilet, a shower, a bed, a kitchen, and a TV for your convenience.
Capt. Mike will locate the best spots and provide as much instruction as you need to reel in the fish of your dreams. There are other useful extras on the boat such as a flybridge and outriggers for trolling, and top quality fishing gear used for light and heavy tackle.
Sure Shot specializes in bottom fishing for Red Snapper, Amberjack, a variety of Grouper, Triggerfish, and anything else that will bite the hook. They also offer trolling trips for Bull Redfish, King Mackerel, and Spanish Mackerel. And if fishing the deeper waters is your thing, you can do that too! Targeted species include Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Tuna, and more.
Capt. Mike and Sure Shot Fishing Charters invite you to join their fishing team for a fun-filled day. An experienced deckhand will be there to help you with reeling in your catch. Families with no experience are welcome: the crew enjoys teaching!

There is always a risk when booking with an unknown to you Capt. I took the risk and was not disappointed. we lucked into good weather although hot, even for August. Throw in my wife and were celebrating our 47th anniversary and 70 is just a number. Kim, the mate (also a Capt) was bait friendly and very attentive. We caught fish, King Mackerel, Trigger, American Red Snapper, b-liners, vermillion, grunts so brought home something to eat for several meals. I highly recommend this team.

We booked this trip for our senior graduates and the trip did not disappoint! The boat was awesome, clean, and very roomy. The captain was the most friendly and knowledgeable of all captains and well experienced with the deep waters! The deck hand was phenomenal and an expert in her field. Im sure she will be captain of her own ship one day! We caught snapper, amber jack, grouper, and very big trigger fish! One of the best fishing experiences and we will book again! Also thanks for the restaurant recommendation to cook our fish it was delicious and great service as well!! We will book again!!
We were a family of 5, 2 willing adults to fish, one child with no interest in fishing and a somewhat handicap mother in law who just wanted to ride on the boat, Captain Mike was very accommodating for my mother in law, we got out on the water and caught plenty of spanish mackerel and vermillion snapper, Kim was super nice and stayed busy with just the two of us primarily fishing, had a pretty good catch and probably would of been better with with more anglers but overall super happy, will book again next time we are in the area. we did 5 hour pm
This was my family’s first time on a charter! And we were NOT let down! Capitan Mike and first mate terri were nothing short of amazing in helping us in every way and great with the kiddos, helping them to cast/ reel in a keeping our poles in the water ready to catch the next fish ! We had a great experience! Cant wait to book with Sure Shot Fishing Charters again! We were treated just like family. Got to catch our limit for opening day Snapper season. 😁
Our family had a fun time fishing with sure shot! Kim and Captain Mike were down to earth people who cared about whether or not our family had a good time and caught some fish. Kim was Johnny on the spot with helping rebate our hooks and grabbing all the fish we caught. Since we had to bottom fish instead of troll, Captain Mike made sure that we had perfect spots so we were able to catch some trigger fish, sand perch, and red snapper! We appreciate all of their hard work! :)

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
