Get hooked with James Addiction Charter Fishing! Welcome to beautiful Knife River, Minnesota. This is home to some of the best fishing in the state, including Trout, Salmon, and Walleye. USCG Certified, MN DNR licensed, and fully insured Captain James Hall (aka Captain Jimmy) will be your guide for the day.
Join your captain on 'Sweet Release', a fully equipped 34' Tiara 3100, powered by 2 sporty 454 Crusader engines, boasting 350 HP each. Garmin electronics include state of the art Panoptix, fish locator, GPS, and Doppler Radar. Additional electronics include Fish Hawk X4, Raymarine Autopilot, and Bluetooth Stereo.
Only the best fishing equipment is used including Shimano rods, Penn Squall reels, Cannon Optimum downriggers, Traxtech Rod Holders, and Cisco electric aluminum planer reels.
All fishing gear and safety equipment are provided by the charter. A valid MN fishing license and Trout stamp are required and not provided by the charter, nor are they available at the dock so please plan ahead. Other than that, you just have to come aboard with a cooler for food and beverage, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a positive attitude ready to get out on the water! Let's go fishing!

Best Charter Experience On Lake Superior

I booked a charter with Captain James for the day before my wedding to try my luck on Lake Superior for the third time. It was by far the best experience I’ve ever had on a charter trip. James was easy to get along with, explained what we were doing and why, gave tips on fishing, and put us on both numbers and trophy fish. The pictures say it all but I finally have a charter experience under my belt with the photo everyone hopes for, loads of fish and a bunch of bros smiling ear to ear cuz of the big ones.

We faced difficult water conditions on the morning of our trip (significant drop in water temperature). James lived up to the challenge and got us into king salmon and lake trout. We filled our cooler! Back home we fired up the smoker and followed the recipe from James' web page. This was the best smoked fish fillets we ever had!

Thanks for a great day James. So good with the kids as well as adults. The “Google Pin” was perfect for finding the Marina. Loved that there wasn’t. A long ride to the fish. Fish were right outside the marina. So, a 4-hour trip was 3:45 of fishing. Thanks James and we’ll be back!

We had a great time and quickly got on the fish! Captain James did everything to make sure the trip went as smooth as possible. He was very informed on where to go, and made sure we knew what to do to get to our count. Could not have asked for a better day out!
