Fish of the Gitch invites you on a Lake Superior fishing adventure with Captain Lorin LeMire. This charter is dedicated to Lake Superior fishing and all the species that populate the lake's bountiful waters. Captain Lorin has fished Lake Superior for over 20 years and says he was hooked from the moment he first saw the Gin-clear waters of the lake.

Fishing is done aboard Captain Lorin's 22' Lund Baron powered by a 250 4-stroke Yamaha. There is also the quiet trolling advantage of Yamaha's high-thrust 9.9 kicker. The vessel is fully equipped with electronics, including a top-of-the-line Humminbird, Garmin, autopilot, and a Fish Hawk device measuring the thermocline and preferred speed with precision.

The boat's fishing deck is equipped with Cannon downriggers and rod holders in a TraxTech rail system. There is a system in place for the restroom; it is not 5*, but it is clean and does the job. There is an onboard icebox to keep your catch fresh, as it's stocked full with ice.

Fish of the Gitch offers half and full day trips on Lake Superior from April through October, when the fishing here is outstanding. You will be able to target a multitude of species such as Brown and Lake Trout, Steelhead, Walleye, Coho, Pink, and Chinook Salmon, and other species. Please note, Captain Lorin recommends catch and release for larger Lake Trout.

Captain Lorin only carries top-notch fishing gear and provides rods, reels, tackle, and lures on all trips. Your catch can be cleaned and filleted at the end of the trip, so bring a cooler in order to transport your catch home. Please leave this in your vehicle to conserve space.
