Captain Jimmy Dean invites you to Key Largo to spend a day on the water with Never4Gotten Fishing. Backcountry fishing in the Everglades is a unique way to experience South Florida. It is the largest remaining subtropical wilderness in the United States. It consists of 1.5 million acres of saw grass marshes, mangrove forests, and hardwood hammocks dominated by wetlands. It is home to endangered, rare, and exotic wildlife.
Experiencing that on the water is priceless, catching fish is a bonus!
Your journey starts on a 22’ Wellcraft bay boat powered by a 200 HP Yamaha engine. It can sit up to 4 guests, has got modern GPS, fishfinder, and radio technology for navigation, and is rigged with snorkeling equipment and a livewell.
Some of the interesting species you’ll get to chase are Mangrove Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Snook, and Redfish. The captain uses primarily light tackle and fishes by spinning and jigging, so these are the ways you’ll catch fish.
You can keep whatever you catch and take it home or you can just release it. Kids are welcome to join the trip, so feel free to bring them as well.
The captain will take care of all the fishing gear, licenses, water, and catch cleaning, so the only thing you should bring is the food of your choice.
Come aboard and have lots of fishing fun!
