Reel Grit Sportfishing is your go to charter for both families and first time fishermen as well as novice anglers alike. With over 20 years of experience fishing Cape Cod Bay's waters, Captain Scott Graf guarantees a good time for all onboard. As a teacher during the school year, Capt. Scott is ready and willing to teach both new and young anglers on board.
The Reel Grit is a 38' custom built Young Brothers boat that was restored in 2016. She is equipped with a 500 HP Diesel engine to allow for a comfortable 14-15 knots cruising speed. With an ample amount of cabin space out of the elements, all customers will be comfortable no matter what the weather conditions are. The Reel Grit is fully equipped with all up-to-date electronics as well as bunks down below and a clean head (toilet).
During the height of the season, most trips are targeting Striped Bass and Bluefish but there are a number of other species you can target both on the shoulder seasons as well as during the summer. Being a centrally located harbor on Cape Cod Bay, it is usually not more than a 30-minute ride to the fishing grounds for our Bass and Bluefish trips. You can also stay inshore and target bottom species such as Flounder, Tautog and Black Seabass.
You can count on a clean vessel that is family friendly. All fishing equipment, as well as your licenses are included in the price.

After our outing with Reel Grit Sportfishing, five stars just don’t seem adequate to convey how much we enjoyed our trip. Capt. Scott responded quickly when I contacted him with questions ahead of our trip. During our trip, Capt. Scott and his mate Parker were knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating with my 13-year-old son. We caught plenty of stripers and flounder, which the crew fileted on the way back to the dock. We’re already looking forward to our next trip with Reel Grit!
Captain Scott and his son, First Mate Parker, took us out on their boat - 4 adults, 2 children - for a sunset cruise around Cape Cod Bay. Scott and Parker were educational and got the kids involved as much as they could. We caught a large striper as a final event and went back to the dock. We had a great time and would book with Reel Grit again!
This was an awesome experiance with the family of three generations. Captain Scott took his time and scouted the area to find pods of fish so we had an opportunity to reel in some big fish. Also a very scenic trip along the bay, strongly recomend Captain Scott

Captain Scott Graf was born and raised on Cape Cod and began fishing at a young age. His summers were spent working as a mate on numerous charter and party boats across the Cape. At 19 he got his Captain license and began running boats each summer. Six years ago he purchased his own boat and now runs his own charter business. When not running charters, you'll be sure to find Scott spending time with his family on the boat and taking his son out fishing. During the winter months, Scott is a school teacher in town and thoroughly enjoys having family and kids on board. There is nothing better than teaching someone to fish and see the enjoyment of them succeed!
