We booked a half day with captain Jon-Paul and had a blast. I had the opportunity to cast flies and fly fish for tarpon, jacks, bones fish, and permit all in one day. We caught tarpon and jacks on the flies and had some sightings of bonefish and permit. He made sure my gf and I caught some mangrove snapper, mutton snapper, and jacks on spinning heat when it was opportune and could have had some awesome dinner with the snapper if we had kept them. We saw pods of dolphin hunting and eating baitfish,  sea turtles, and manatees, along with countless species of birds. I am on the USA fly fishing team, and have been lucky to have the privilege to fish with many great guides/captains/anglers and capt Jon-Paul was one of the best!

Jon-Paul was personable, professional and really knows how to get you into fish! The scenery was fantastic and the boat is perfect for a party of two. Even though the waters were unseasonably warm we still caught tons of snapper, had a nice fight with a Lemon Shark (I lost it, not the Capt’s fault!) and got a workout with two very nice Barracuda. I would absolutely do this trip again!

I can’t speak highly enough about Capt Jon-Paul and the wonderful day of fishing. It was a little windy and chilly on the morning but Capt got us to our first fishing spot very quickly (and safely). Fishing was a little slow to start because of the cold weather but Capt quickly put us on some fish and had a steady diet of Snook getting progressively large as the day went on. Was a great trip and I highly recommend - I will definitely be returning. Thanks for a great day Captain!

This was a fantastic in-shore half day charter! Capt Jon-Paul is extremely knowledgeable & best of all, easy going—- he helps with ever possible thing that comes up and does it with a smile on his face. He was patient and professional for both my wife and I’s first inshore charter.

For a short half day trip, we had lines in the water within 20 mins from leaving the dock & we limited out on snapper in no time. I was fortune enough to hook up with a small tarpon and he was quick to help me land it. He helped my wife snag a shark… We fished 3 different spots, caught fish at all of them & best of all taught us a lot of info that we can use when we fish back at home.

This is the perfect inshore charter for newbies and avid anglers. I cannot say enough good things about our day out on the water with Capt Jon-Paul… Already trying to plan another trip down to fish with him again!

We had an amazing 6 hours out with Jon-Paul yesterday!  Got about 20 on the line and had a blast.  Novice fisherman, we hooked 4 different species of snapper, got a 100 pound (est) stingray, a beautiful tarpon and a hell of a fight with a big, big barracuda!!!

Besides being a terrific captain, you get the free experience of being with a professional birder as well.

Brother in law visiting from overseas had the best fishing day of his life, cannot stop talking about having reeled in the ‘cuda and seeing him this happy was the best part of his entire trip stateside.

Great thing with Jon-Paul is that he will not waste time when fish arent biting, he keeps hunting and moving, hunting and moving.  With the tools on board, no wasted time with pulling up and dropping anchor, we got a ton of fishing in within the six hours.
