Captain John and Mark were amazing! We had a blast. I took my son and father in law out for the 6 hour trip to celebrate their birthdays and everyone had a great day! They showed up on time ready to fish. The boat was very comfortable and had everything we could have needed. The fishing was tough as conditions were not ideal but Captain John never gave up and ensured we had a great day, with plenty of fish to take home for the family. They were great to talk to and kept my 10 year old son engaged and answered all of his questions. They were very knowledgeable about the area and were really easy going. I really couldn’t have asked anything more. I go on a few fishing trips a year and the next time I’m in the area. I will definitely book with them again.

We booked an early morning charter with John and Mark and left the marina around 4 am.  As we prepared to fish, they explained the process in detail and quickly we were dropping lines.  There were quite a few other boats around, but Captain John kept us on the fish and safely distanced.  We hooked up several tarpon, enjoyed the majestic jumps, but could not get one close enough for a boat photo.  As the morning moved on and the tarpon bite slowed, they offered us the option of heading in a little to the mangroves to catch a few snook.  We did so and managed to catch a couple of nice snook.  John and Mark are both very conscientious about correct and proper fishing methods and do not practice gigging, which is harmful to the fish and very frowned upon.  We enjoyed our day on the water and we learned quite a bit from both of them about the area and fishing in general.  We highly recommend a charter with Boca Grande and would use them again!

Our trip with Captain John and Mark was great!! Got off to a little slow start but ended up catching several snook. We couldn’t have asked for a more kinder crew. They took care of every need we had. We will definitely recommend them to anyone coming to this area to fish and we hope to be back next spring during Tarpon season.

Went out with John and mark from Boca Grande fishing charters and had a absolute wonderful time tried to tarpon fish in the morning but weather wouldn’t cooperate so we went in closer to shore and caught a variety of different fish till a lil later in the day the weather worked in our favor and tried for tarpon and had a blast hooking into a landing some of the most amazing fish we ever fished for would HIGHLY recommend this charter to anyone looking for a awesome day out on the water

John, and first mate Mark are great at what they do. It goes beyond that though. They are great people. I have dealt with many outfitters (hunting and fishing) over my many years. Most, quite honestly suck. These guys are right at the top. Personable, know their job, very accommodating, and they work their butts off to find fish. I will not use any other outfitter in Boca. Period! Thanks John and Mark! Can’t wait to fish with y’all again. I want that big Tarpon!
