3/4 Day Trip
Franco and Captain Pitain were excellent. It couldn’t have been easier to arrive at the marina and get going out. Starts out with a beautiful view driving out the Port of San Juan; passing El Morro. It’s a quick drive to the fishing grounds; maybe 30 minutes from the dock to lines in. We went out on an unlucky day, so we did not have much action, but we did catch 1 sailfish. Good stock of drinks and some individual sized bags of chips. Franco was an incredible first mate! Very quick and efficient, fun to talk about and will explain as much or as little as you want about the fishing setup. Captain Pitain also was excellent up at the helm, communicating with nearby boats to try to get us on some fish. Great day in The Legend!

Half Day Trip (AM)
We had another boat booked out of Fajardo for our fishing trip. Due to “big” seas the Fajardo boat cancelled. We were able to book with Castillo on short notice. The boat was large and well maintained. All areas were very clean. The captain was welcoming and proficient but not super talkative. The first mate was very friendly and did an excellent job of baiting lines and landing the fish. The amenities were middle of the road. A good selection and amount of water/soda/beer but only food was a variety of chips. Other boats have had more amenities, like sandwiches, or fewer, like just water. We caught mahi-mahi, wahoo and a sailfish. The first mate cleaned the keepers and we ate well. Arrival was easy, departure was easy and we had a great time despite some rough seas. We would definitely fish with Castillo again.

Caught Marlin in June, Wonderful experience Captain and Deck Hand very helpful and knew the Water. Son hooked up first got it next to boat tagged leader then lost it. I was up next, reels clicked off pulling line, fought for awhile finally landed fish. Great experience and recommend to anyone looking to hook up and fight marlin.

3/4 Day Trip
My husband and I each brought in a yellowfin tuna weighing 30-35lbs. For us, this was a first! Captain Pitain and Franco were very knowledgeable and friendly. We spent a few hours trolling for billfish with no luck but that's fishing. We enjoyed the day very much!

Half Day Trip (PM)
Rough waters but we caught a sail fish. Had to go back early because one of the boys was too seasick to keep going. Captain did call us to tell us before the trip that it was rough out there and we decided to go anyway. I think it was very responsible of the Captain to warn us and let us make our own decision. I really appreciated that.
