It’s time to book an incredible adventure with Maragata Charters today. Captain Matt Quin has decades of experience to make sure you have an awesome day out with him on board his boat, “Matt’s Cat.”
Matt’s Cat is a 38’ power catamaran powered by twin Cummins 450 HP diesel engines, with a maximum capacity of 10 people. All 10 can fish comfortably, with plenty of shade, seating, and a restroom on board for your comfort. There is also full navigational equipment such as GPS, fishfinder, and radio that will keep you on fish throughout the day.
Capt. Matt specializes in both big game and light tackle fishing and enjoys the feeling of freedom his job as a captain gives him. On his trips, you can also choose to go snorkeling while fishing – just let the captain know before the day. Capt. Matt and his mate Frank both speak English and Spanish.
Most fish caught aboard Matt’s Cat fit in the range of between 10–80 pounds. There are also, however, large Marlins in these waters, which can weigh anywhere from 100 to as much as 600 pounds. Some of the more common species when fishing with Capt. Matt includes Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Billfish (Blue and White Marlin, Sailfish), Barracuda, Amberjacks, King Mackerel, and more.
All fishing equipment (and lures) for your party are supplied by Capt. Matt. Snacks and drinks are included in the price, along with a cooler filled with ice. After your trip, the crew of Matt’s Cat will be happy to clean and bag your catch for you, if you’d like to take it with you. Fishing licenses for all individuals fishing aboard Matt’s Cat are mandatory and are provided by the Captain.
