South of Cancun lies Playa del Carment with its gorgeous beaches and coral reefs. More importantly, the area offers wonderful opportunities for some offshore fishing. Whether you are a professional angler or a beginner, Element Sportfishing will give you the experience of a lifetime.
Their fishing trips also include activities like snorkeling the reefs with stingrays and turtles – a breathtaking break between fishing sessions.

You’ll be cruising the azure waves on board the Argos offshore sportfishing model from 2009. It is 29’ and it can accommodate up to 8 guests. For anglers who want to do some trolling outriggers and downriggers are available. The boat is equipped with a single Yamaha engine that can reach top speeds of 45 kn. You’ll be reaching your offshore hotspots in no time!

This charter covers offshore locations that include reefs and wrecks. The fish bites all year round. In colder months you’ll probably encounter amberjack, while in warmer seasons you can tackle the feisty Mahi Mahi and several types of Marlin. A variety of fishing techniques are at your disposal, like trolling or deep-sea fishing. What’s more, if you’re up to it you can do some spearfishing.

Families with children are welcome and don’t miss the opportunity to use the onboard snorkeling equipment. You can do some sensational snorkeling during your fishing break. In case you get thirsty, the crew offers refreshments. As for the Mexico fishing license and the necessary fishing gear, the charter’s got you covered. If you get lucky with your catch, the crew will gladly help you with cleaning and bagging.

Experience the natural beauties of the local waters in the Playa del Carmen. Get yourself a fishing adventure of a lifetime and book Element Sportfishing.

Awesome Captain.
3/4 Day Trip on July 1, 20258 adults
This charter was awesome. As the fish were not biting, the captain worked hard to still provide fun to the group so ge took us to a private, beautiful cenote on an island where we swam and took awesome photos. He then allowed us to snorkel at a reef, providing all the snorkeling equipment. The captain and assistant tried hard to put us on fish, but the external conditions were not quite right for it. The captain is super friendly, full of knowledge, and fun to talk to and hang out with. The crew was very attentive to our groups needs. Fish or no fish, I would use this charter again!

We caught plenty of fish at an off time of year!
Half Day Trip on February 6, 20252 adults
I've been coming to Playa Del Carmen for over 40 years. I remember when it was just a sleepy fishing village! I always come during the winter- usually January and February. People always say "As a fisherman, you should come down here during April and May- the fishing is fantastic!" But, that is just not possible for me. I always take charters when I am here however, and even though we didn't hook a Marlin, we had some Bonito, hooked a Sierra and lost it and got a bunch of bottom fish to take home for dinner! It was a beautiful day and the captain and mate worked real hard to put us on fish. That is all that matters!

Great captain and first mate!
3/4 Day Trip on April 14, 20252 adults
What I would tell anyone first of all is that there is never a guarantee on catching a fish, what I expect is that the captain and crew do everything the can to help it happen though. We did catch a nice barracuda but even without that we had a great day on the water, there was ice cold water and pop, and lots of stories and fun times had. A day on the Gulf of Mexico with my brother made it a win no matter what. Mario and Emmanuel made the experience too notch. I highly recommend them to anyone!

Tough time for all fishermen in the area but still pulled through!
3/4 Day Trip on March 13, 20252 adults
Unfortunately although we are less than a month away from the main season the captain informed us that for the past week nobody has really caught anything. However, he had a good game plan we followed it and it paid off for us. The captain was funny, well knowledged of the area, and was a straight shooter from the start. The first mate was very professional, was very good about keeping all the lines baited and seaweed free, and good with noticing our needs. Just when we thought we were going to be done for we caught a sailfish!!! Would absolutely recommend this charter to anyone.
