Come visit Scream N Drag Fishing Charters for an enjoyable fishing trip on Lake Lanier. The lake is known for some of the best Striper fishing in Georgia. Come along with Joe Hilliard and enjoy a fishing adventure in the beautiful environment.
You will fish from a 23' Key West bay boat, a spacious boat that can accommodate up to 5 guests. It runs on a 300 HP Suzuki outboard with a maximum cruise speed of 50 MPH and uses quality navigation electronics to take you to the fish quickly and safely. The boat is equipped with a wireless trolling motor and has multiple live wells to keep the live bait fresh. You will have a fish box to keep your catch if you choose to do so.
Using light tackle you will target Striped Bass by down rodding, free lining, and pitching live bait. We will also be jigging, casting lures, and trolling certain times of the year.
Scream N Drag Fishing Charters will supply you with quality rods, reels, tackle, lures, and live bait. You just need to bring a fishing license, sunscreen (No spray sunscreen please), snacks, and drinks and you will be set to go. We have a cooler and ice on board so please do not bring a cooler on the boat. Leave your cooler in your vehicle if you choose to keep your catch and we will transport the fish to your cooler at the end of the trip.

This captain really knows Lake Lanier and put us on stripers immediately. We had a lot of fun catching big stripers and spots the entire time in challenging seasonal conditions. Highly recommend.

Joe Hilliard let me know several days prior to the trip that the weather was looking very tough. He offered to let us reschedule with no strings attached. He had no obligation to do so and, from a pure business perspective, was contrary to his best interest. To a corporate guy like me, what an amazing thing to know such goodwill still exist. That, plus he worked his ass off, was early, brought a cooler full of food and drinks, had more bait than we needed, hustled around the boat managing all the rigs, took pictures, damn I don’t think I could have scripted it better. We’re looking forward to the next trip!

There are a lot of choices for guides on Lake Lanier, and Joe Hilliard is a great one! He's a great guy, has a well equipped boat and lots of knowledge about where and when to fish for striper. We had fun all day and, more importantly, asked a lot of questions about fishing techniques and his boat, which he freely answered all of them. I will be following a lot of his recommendations when I'm fishing on my boat. Thanks again Joe!

I have been on several trips with Captain Joe Hilliard and I am extremely impressed with his skill set to locate and catch some nice stripers on Lake Lanier. He and Jeff always give kudo's to certain charter guys that has a great reputation on the lake but I beg to differ.
