She's since been restored (2015) and recently repowered (2021) to provide a modernized yet classic fishing experience. The boat's fully equipped with up-to-date technology and top-of-the-line gear to make sure you maximize your chances of finding and catching fish.
Captain Josh Brindley was born and raised right here on the outer banks and has numerous years of fishing experience. He and the crew will provide you with a safe and enjoyable day on the water and give the extra effort to make sure you go home with fish for dinner!
Your trip starts on a 40' Warren O'Neal flybridge that can sit up to 6 guests. The boat runs on a 450 HP Cummins 8.3 engine and uses comprehensive navigation technology. It's fishing gear includes a fighting chair, outriggers, downriggers, and a livewell, as well as a large fish box for your catch.
Fish cleaning seevoces are offered at the marina for a fee
Some of the many species you can chase are Mahi Mahi, Black Seabass, White Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Redfish, and Cobia. Using light and heavy tackle, you can bottom and deep sea fish, troll, spin, jig, pop, and even kite fish. You decide if you'll keep the fish you catch and you're welcome to bring kids aboard.
Captain Josh will cover you for all the tackle, lures, and fishing licenses, so just bring some food and drinks before you leave.

Had a great afternoon fishing with Captain Josh and mate Chris. Started by trolling nearshore for ribbon fish. After a couple passes, the crew found the perfect combination of speed, depth, and location, and we started pulling fish out left and right. We definitely kept our mate Chris busy. After catching around 20 ribbons, we went farther out and Captain Josh put us over some wreckage. Almost immediately we started catching fish. Triggers, sea bass, robin fish, flounder (which unfortunately we had to throw back), even a skate. The crew was very helpful and courteous, and did their best to get fish in the boat. Great afternoon fishing. We'll definitely charter the Shine Eye Girl again.
Can't thank Captain Josh and 1st Mate Chris enough for a great morning of fishing! Captain Josh gave us plenty of options for what we wanted to do with our morning and he delivered big time. He'd been tracking a school of Amberjack living under a Navy tower about 20 miles out and had the perfect plan for us to come home with 4 massive keepers! He coached us perfectly through the fights with these big guys. Awesome day out on the water. Captain Josh, Chris and the Shine Eye Girl absolutely killed it!
Had a great trip with Josh and Chris. Was a tough day on the water but they never gave up and got us on some good fishing. Both were very knowledgeable and great to be in the boat with. The family and I had a great afternoon with Shine Eye Girl Charters. A+ service from beginning to end, very professional and kept the kids involved and having a good time. Went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. I highly recommend them and look forward to fishing with them again in the future.
First off I must commend Josh, John and Chris on a great trip overall. We had a great experience with them all and they were all super with the lass experienced anglers we had with us. We were open to whatever and we went for a little bit of everything and even ended up with fish we weren’t targeting because they were so on top of what was going on around us. Thank you for a great day on the water even though the weather cut us a bit short, Still brought in a great haul!
