Fishin Fannatic offers some of the finest sport fishing experiences on the waters of the Outer Banks, North Carolina. For the ones looking for big game fish, Captain Mark will take you out to the Gulf Stream for Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi-Mahi Mahi, Billfish, and Wahoo. We also offer 4 and 6 hour nearshore trips for those who want to stay closer to shore.  This is a great family trip or for those who are just looking to get out on the water.  The company is family-friendly, so kids are welcome to join the adventure. There is nothing better than seeing a child's smile when they catch their first fish!

Captain Mark will take you out aboard a spacious 53' Viking sportfish, which is a seaworthy fishing machine, well-prepared for the current bite. The Fishin Fannatic has been completely updated with 2 new Catapillar engines, all new interior and electronics.  It cruises comfortably at 29 knots and is rigged with all new Furuno electronics. Licensed for taking up to six anglers out, the vessel has a 16' wide cockpit and plenty of room for all guests to be involved in fishing. Inside, there is a fully air-conditioned salon with couches, a restroom, and a galley. There is a flybridge to spot any action going on beneath the surface. You'll also have a comfortable fighting chair for the most challenged anglers, as well as an ice-box to fill up your catch with.

A day out in the North Carolina Outer Banks is not complete without a sport fishing experience. Each trip can be customized to suit your specific needs. The packages are from four to eleven hours on the water, including a full-day trip offshore. Your targeted species will include Mahi Mahi, Bluefin Tuna, Little Tunny, Yellowfin Tuna, Bluefish, Tilefish, Sailfish, Cobia, Wahoo, White Marlin, Blue Marlin… and the list just keeps going!

All trips come with licenses and quality rods, reels, and tackle.

Fun experience
Half Day Nearshore (AM) on September 19, 20255 adults

We throughly enjoyed the trip. We shifted our trip from a Tuesday to Friday because a a big storm. The process was very easy. We first headed to the ship wreck area and everyone cause at least one fish. However there were fish only good for bait, not eating. So we moved to a differently location and trolled the rest of our time. No more catches but that fishing. 😁 The boat showed its ware, however that just shows the years of experience they have. The lounge is quite large and has AC. My only suggestion is it would be nice if cold bottled water was available. That’s just for the customers ease. Rather than the guests having to pack and bring it. Not sure this type of fishing is for me. But if it’s what you are looking for I would recommend Cpt Mark and mate Tom. Both supper knowledgeable and helpful.

Great day for the Family
Half Day Nearshore (AM) on June 5, 20253 adults3 children

After taking a fishing trip in Florida the kids were less than excited for the mornings planned event. During the ride you good see they were again just along for what was planned. The shipmate noticed the vibe and his communication towards them was amazing. By the end of the trip all I heard from them boys is, When can we do this again and can we take an all day trip next season! Just what you want to hear from a group of kids that actually caught fish in the sea and two took ate fish for the first time in their lives! We had a blast because Fish Fanatics took the time and energy to ensure the family loved the experience!

Response from Captain

Thanks for the kind review Bruce. We enjoyed having you and the kids and we look forward to seeing you next year for the full day
