Join Sportfishing Maestro for a fun-packed day of fishing in Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica. You'll be exploring both inshore and nearshore waters as well as reefs and wrecks, all having lots of prized fish on the offer. Your boat for the day is a 30' Luhrs sport fishing boat that accommodates up to 5 anglers. It's air-conditioned and has got a shower, bed, and a portable toilet. You can use its refrigerator, ice-box, as well as multimedia system. To make the service even better, a first mate will be there to help you out with anything you may need.
The boat runs on twin 240 HP Yanmar engines and uses full-featured navigation electronics for a quick and safe trip to the fish. It's equipped with outriggers, downriggers, tuna tubes, and a livewell.
Some of the great species you can find on your trip are Mahi Mahi, Roosterfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Almaco Jack, and Snook. The fishing techniques you can use include bottom fishing, deep sea fishing, trolling, spinning, popping, jigging, fly fishing, and spearfish, on both light and heavy tackle. You can keep your catch if you want and you're welcome to bring kids on your trip.
Captain Oscar will supply you with everything from equipment to food and drinks to licenses and can even clean your catch for free. To only to keep in mind is that you should bring your own gear for fly fishing.

What a fantastic day. Capt Oscar met us at the Botanika pier at the agreed upon time and we were off. After a brief ride off shore, Capt and mate geared up rods and we fished for several hours, catching several good sized dorado, a wahoo, and even a small shark! Drinks and lunch were provided to help us keep our strength. Bringing in a 60lb dorado takes it out of you. For a first time deep sea fishing, didn't know what to expect, but we were absolutely delighted with the overall experience. Highly recommend booking with Capt Oscar!
Captain Oscar was great ! Very professional and was helpful to my son who had not been offshore fishing before. Although no one was able to find tuna that day, we had some good sailfish action and my son was able to catch release a nice Pacific sail early in the day.
