Make yourself comfortable aboard an 18' Hobie Tandem Island Mirage kayak. Capt. Ludovic will guide you along the coast for half a day, targeting almost anything that swims alongside you. All the needed fishing gear is provided. Lures are available for purchase before your trip.

While kayak fishing off the coast of Balaclava, you will experience big game fishing like never before. Your journey will take you roughly four miles out to the open sea, where you can target Barracuda, Needlefish, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Giant Trevally, and Yellowfin Tuna. Your heart will race when you encounter these hard-fighting fish up close for a catch that may just be your most memorable yet!

Mautiyak Kayak Fishing provides rods, reels, and tackle. You may keep your catch, or you can release it back into the water. Children age 12 and older are welcome. Please note that adequate kayaking skills are recommended. No fishing license is required.

Morning kayak fishing

Absolutely incredible experience. Ludovic was very helpful and friendly. Not a busy days fishing but definitely a successful one. Especially in the winter months with the weather on our side. Would recommend to anyone looking to hopefully catch something a bit more exciting! Also very tranquil and relaxing with the kayak with no noisy engine!

This is a well run operation. Ludovic goes the extra mile and even picked me up from my hotel the morning of my fishing trip. On our trip we didn't catch many fish but it was for me a really enjoyable trip. I will definitely be booking with Ludovic again when I go back to Mauritius for a holiday with my family. Thanks again to Ludovic for a wonderful day at sea with the kayaks
