Skipper Andrew aims to tailor every trip to your specific needs, so let him know what you’re after! Depending on the trip and species, you’ll be using techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, jigging, and popping. You’re looking at 4 to 10-hour trips, where you’ll usually go after the likes of Yellowtail Amberjack, Snapper, Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Swordfish, and Tuna, depending on the weather and time of year.

Your fishing adventure starts on a 42’ Salthouse boat that can safely take up to 12 anglers. This boat features a toilet, ice box, and fighting chair. The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you’ll need for a productive day on the water. Don’t forget to buy a fishing license before the trip! You’re welcome to keep all legal species caught during the trip.

Skipper Andrew runs trips together with his first mate, who’s there to help you with whatever you may need. Tips are always appreciated for a job well done. The price of your trip also includes complimentary snacks and drinks, but you’re welcome to bring your own. Please let the crew know if you have any questions or special requests.

Children are welcome aboard so you’re good to get the young ones started early.

Outstanding 6-Hour Charter with Wahoo Sports Fishing

6 Hour Trip – Kingfish on December 14, 2025 • 4 adults

We did the 6-hour fishing charter with Wahoo Sports Fishing, and it was hands-down the best charter I've ever been on. Andy is a proper sea dog — looks the part, knows the water inside out, and honestly feels like he's half fish himself. You can tell straight away you're in safe, experienced hands. His local knowledge and calm confidence set the tone for the whole day. Chris, the deckhand, was right onto it. The two of them work with a really slick system — everything ran smoothly, rods were always ready, lines were managed well, and there was zero chaos even when things fired up. You could see how well they've worked together. What really blew us away was catching absolute monster snapper while jigging for kingfish — something I'd never done before. Learning new techniques and landing fish like that made the day next-level. Epic fishing, great crew, well-run operation. Couldn't recommend Wahoo Sports Fishing highly enough — we'll 100% be back.

The weather prior to our departure had been up and down, turning the bite off, but Captain Andy and his first mate Sam stuck with it. We were able to hand line fish, catch bait, deep sea fish on the bottom with electric reels and then finish off by trolling up a dolphin fish and a marlin

Amazing trip!

We had the absolute best time today. We were able to catch a variety of fish which was absolutely awesome. We also caught ALOT to take home. Making this even better - it gets filleted on board ! Andy an his deck hand Sam were great. We had 4 days on board and were treated fantastically. They were both full of knowledge which they passed onto us. The boat was very well presented and had all types of rods and reels for all types of fishing. Highly recommend them.
