Join them on board their boat, a 35’ offshore sport fisherman with a special V hull specifically designed for the waters off of New Zealand. It can comfortably hold up to 8 anglers, fishing at the same time. The boat is powered by a Cummins 410hp engine, giving it more than enough power to get you to your fishing grounds in no time. There’s a full-head toilet on board for comfort on longer trips.

Get Reel Charters is owner operated and that owner is Captain Paul Vlug. Capt. Paul will be your guide and assistant on this charter, as he’s been fishing the Islands for over four decades – you’re in good hands. You’ll go after a variety of species with him, Snappers, Groupers, Mahi Mahi, Yellowtail Amberjacks, as well as the big, prestigious fish, Marlin, Swordfish, and various species of Tuna.

There is a minimum age policy in place, with no children under the age of 4 allowed on board. However, Captain Paul advises parents with younger kids to contact him prior the trip so they can work something out. The charter provides all necessary equipment. Customers are advised to bring sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, and adequate clothing.
