Enjoy a day on the fish-rich and beautiful waters of New Jersey and make lovely fishing memories with Chasing Tails Charters. You start out of South Amboy, where Captain Joseph Greco will meet you and take you to Raritan Bay, the nearby rivers, or nearshore waters. Come aboard and spend a lovely day fishing these bountiful and scenic grounds!
Your trip will take place on a 19' Ranger RP 190 bay boat. It can fit 2 anglers, runs on a single 125 HP Evinrude engine, and uses GPS, fishfinder, as well as VHF radio technology to maintain safe and efficient movement on the water. It also has a livewell for keeping live bait and an ice-box for storing your fish.
You and Captain Joseph will be fly fishing, trolling, jigging, and popping on light tackle in order to attract the fish. The species you can find on your trip are Striped Bass, False Albacore, Flounder, Bluefish, and Weakfish. You choose whether you'll release your catch or keep it and take it home. Kids are welcome to join the trip.
Captain Joseph will take care of all the fishing rods, reels, tackle, live bait, lures, and fishing licenses. If you decide to keep the fish you caught, he can clean it and fillet it for you at no extra charge. Bring nothing but your snacks and drinks before you start the trip.

I went out with Joe for a half-day charter and I learned so much about Fluke fishing and we had a great time. It felt like fishing with an old friend and I appreciate that. We also caught more fish than I have caught on a single day in my life. Of course, this cannot alway be promised and some days are better than others, but Joe really knew his stuff about the fish and their habits and you can tell that fishing is a huge passion of his. Also, the law pulled up on us at the end of the day and checked our papers and he said the other boats on the river were getting skunked all day but we had our limit in the live well. I have already recommended Joe and Chasing Tails Charters to a few friends and I'm excited to get back out on the water once I'm back in NJ. Thank you, Joe!

We met Captain Joseph just before dawn on the Raritan River. We had a lovely morning on the Raritan Bay trolling for stripers. After landing 3 nice fish, we headed into the Raritan River and tried our luck casting for stripers. It was great to utilize different techniques and locations in one trip.
