Algonac has a fish with your name on it, so let Rockets Fishing Adventures help you catch it! Your guide for the day is Captain Rick, bringing aboard years of angling experience.
Sturgeon, Musky, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Yellow Perch, and more are in the cards if you cast your line at the right time of year. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Now that’s dinner!
You’ll be dropping lines from a 21’ Sea Ray with space for 3 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you may be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. Fishing in Lake Sturgeon is strictly catch-and-release.
Families who love fishing together will be glad that kids are welcome aboard! Child-sized life vests are available. It’s never a bad idea to bring snacks, drinks, sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.

Absolutely FANTASTIC!

Truly an unbelievable experience! Captain Rick went above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip! He even scouted for 3 hours before we arrived to make sure we were getting on the prime spot for that night! We got set up and were having a blast before the fish even showed up! Captain Rick made all the right adjustments and the fish didn’t disappoint! We caught an 80 pounder then a 90 pounder with multiple other species in between! All in all I will say that Captain Ricks hospitality and willingness to share his knowledge was enough to make it a great trip! The fish were just an excellent bonus! Thank you captain!

I could not recommend a Lake Sturgeon fishing charter with Rocket’s Fishing Adventures more! First, Captain Rick worked hard to get us on fish. He arrived early and scanned the river for fish so that our charter time was spent fishing and not looking for fish. He was constantly changing baits and making sure they were fresh. Second, he is passionate about sturgeon and makes the trip fun! He was as excited as we were when we caught fish! The boat was comfortable and all of the fishing gear was top notch.

During our trip we discussed various topics, from sturgeon habits to various sturgeon species, and he was knowledgeable about them all. Captain Richard tailor-made this trip for me, allowing me to enjoy an exciting experience of fighting sturgeons and truly feel the process of fighting with fish. I highly recommend the sturgeon fishing trip organized by Captain Richard. His professionalism and attentiveness made the experience particularly memorable.

Could not have picked a better charter to be on. Rick was awesome from start to finish! This trip was for my husband (who is an avid fisherman) as a birthday gift and Rick was so great answering all of his questions and also connecting with us. He made the trip so enjoyable and that was even before we caught some fish. We landed a sturgeon which was on my husbands bucket list of fish and Rick was just as excited as my husband was! Awesome sturgeon trip

Capt Rick with Rocket fishing adventures was awesome. I took my son and grandson on a 6hr trip and every minute was full of fishing, laughter and smiles. We boated a 54”, 47”, 38”,37” and two small sturgeon. One fresh water drum and two monster cats. Captain Rick’s passion for fishing and providing an excellent charter was obvious and shows in these photos. We are already planning another trip with him. Great day Captain Rick and we thank you very much.
